Crushing: It starts with a curious attraction and I keep lowkey eye on them to see what they’re like. When I feel like I am crushing, I become even more vigilant to all their interactions with me and others to make sure I’m correct about this, as crushes are dangerous, you know? Talking is very awkward and slightly panicky, like I blush and stutter and make up words sometimes because the right words go missing suddenly, but I still try really hard to smile and come up with interesting things to say. I also laugh nervously a lot. If I hear them say something I don’t agree with or hear them say something rude, then I’ll likely not say anything about it, but get confused for a moment and wonder why their opinion is like this, going so far as to wait it out and see if they say anything more to explain themselves. I’ll 100% miss the timing to say my own opinion in turn. Truly, I can accept conflicting opinions, and even a little bit of rudeness, but if it feels like this happens often or if they seem to purposely hurt anyone, then I know that we won’t work out and I stop crushing. If they don’t do that and I end up liking them, it will take forever for me to confess because of nerves. If I want them bad enough, it’ll happen, though probably in the most cowardly way possible - I am terrible, I get this. But this person will become my reason for waking up every morning and I’ll want to work hard to improve myself along the way.

In Love: When I love someone, friends included, I want to make them happy. I know I’m not a superhero and that I can’t do everything for them, but I’ll always try my best to at least make their day better. I would try to surprise them in the most grossly loving way with love notes, doodles, candies, gifts, or whatever hidden in something they use often. I like leaving behind little touches of affection like that and making sure they know that they really mean something to me. And if I’m feeling playful, I’ll prank them in small ways and it won’t be mean, just mildly irritating. I’ll want more than anything to do childish fun things with them like drawing with sidewalk chalk and having silly string fights. This person will become my reason to relax and enjoy life.

Dream Date: For some reason, I picture my dream date to be on a beach, but super late at night/early in the morning. We would be bundled up in jackets and blankets atop a towel on the sand or inside the back of an open vehicle and just sit there, talking all night and looking up at the stars until the sun rises - hopefully we’ll have a good view of that too. If all else fails, there’s always the possibility of a shell-hunting competition along the shore!
