Having a moment. Life is really crazy with its contrast in highs and lows because 2019 was a ROUGH year to say the least, I’ve lost childhood friends and family members, took a series of hits to my mental health all in a span of 4 months. However, I still had a lot to celebrate but did so quietly but not this time... On January 3rd at 5:55 AM after months of exams taken by thousands of students in North America... My cosmetic science mentor delivered the news that I NEVER thought I’d hear. I’m the top performing student NATIONALLY sitting at a %91.4 and have been for MONTHS despite not having yet completed the live formulation portion of the exam (mind you, I wanted a %98.8 but hey 🤷🏾‍♀️) Eventually I’ll look into where I rank in all of North America but I’m just really enjoying this proud milestone. I wanted to share this because life has truly been blessing me at an overwhelming rate and honestly I’m still processing a lot of it. I’m the first Black Woman to accomplish this which is MIND BLOWING to me. I’m really out here living my best Formulation Scientist life. Life is great man, my heart is so full.
