A recent CDC report reveals that 139 people who visited a salon and interacted with two of its stylists, who were symptomatic and COVID-19 positive, did not contract the disease because both parties wore face masks.

Engagements vs. Cost on Clothing - 1st Year
NOTE: To be consistent, the count for number of engagements post-marriage was determined by the same person (Tim OâDonovan) for both 2011 and 2018.
For clothing costs, I strongly recommend reading what UFO No More wrote and how they calculated these numbers. The total cost of spending is incomplete as bespoke pieces, or similar pieces are unidentified and no included.
CAMBRIDGE (2011)
Date of Marriage: April 29, 2011
Including the day of her marriage, Kate spent 247 days as a part-time working royal in the year 2011.
William: 90 engagements as a part-time working royal, while working full-time as part of the Royal Air Force.
Kate: 38 engagements in 2011, 4 + 34 (see below for breakdown)
Kate had 6 engagements prior to her wedding.
November 16 - December 31, 2010 - 2 engagements, which includes official engagement interview
January 1 - April 28, 2011 - 4 engagements
April 29, - December 31, 2011 - 34 engagements as a part-time working royal.
2011 Numbers
38 engagements in 2011
14% = 34 engagements as an official part-time working royal / 247 days married as a part-time working royal.
3% = 4 engagements prior to wedding / 118 days prior to wedding
Per UFO No More, Kateâs wardrobe for 2011 is âŹ61,603 for 95 identified pieces (over 38 engagements, my own commentary).
Averages to âŹ648 per identified piece.
Omits 47 pieces from total costs due to unidentified pieces, and prices that are bespoke and/or undetermined. Therefore, 142 new pieces.
Averages to âŹ1,621 per engagement.
With inflation, averages to âŹ1,978 per engagement - If I want to be super duper uber extra conservative in calculations, I included an inflation rate of 22% to match 2011 to 2018 spending power (Calculator Used).
SUSSEX (2018)
Date of Marriage: May 19, 2018
Including the day of her marriage, Meghan spent 227 days as a full-time working royal in the year 2018.
Harry: 193 engagements, as a full-time working royal.
Meghan: 121 engagements in 2018, 25 + 96 (see below for breakdown)
Meghan had 29 engagements prior to her wedding.
November 27 - December 31, 2017 - 4 engagements
January 1 - May 18, 2018 - 25 engagements
May 19 - December 31, 2018 - 96 engagements as a full-time working royal.
2018 Numbers
121 engagements in 2018
42% = 96 engagements as an official full-time working royal / 227 days married as a full-time working royal.
18% = 25 engagements prior to wedding / 138 days prior to wedding
Per UFO No More, Meghanâs wardrobe for 2018 is âŹ479,048 for 256 identified pieces (over 121 engagements, my own commentary).
Averages to âŹ1,871 per identified piece.
Omits 68 pieces from total costs due to unidentified pieces, and prices that are bespoke and/or undetermined. Therefore, 324 new pieces.
Averages to âŹ3,959 per engagement.
*If I omit Meghanâs Cartier Reflection Wedding Bracelet & Earrings, it averages to âŹ2,256 per engagement.
*Meghanâs Mirror says that Meghanâs Cartier Reflection Wedding Bracelet & Earrings could possibly be a gift, but they didnât specify anything or reasoning as to what their speculation is based off of. There has been no confirmation that this is a gift, therefore I believe this should be included. But for fun, I omitted this piece with a note. Kateâs acorn wedding earrings commissioned by the Middletons, at an estimated ÂŁ15,000 is not included because it is a confirmed gift paid by her parents (non-royals).
We believe these pieces were gifted to Meghan to celebrate her wedding day â a lovely gesture to add some sparkle to such a memorable and historic outfit. The price tag for these pieces â over $220,000 USD for both pieces â might make jaws drop, but it is likely that they were a generous and loving gift from a wealthy friend, foreign royal, or relative of Meghan or Harryâs.

Meghanâs engagement period, official duties count
I used Gertâs Royals for the number of engagements Meghan did during her engagement period. For Kateâs numbers, I looked through Williamâs Official Court Circular and searched for articles and pictures to confirm that Kate was there with him. Both Kate & Meghanâs pre-marriage engagements are not posted on the Court Circular.
Thoughts / Explanations / Comments
The amount spent on clothes for Meghan was insane. But then I remember that both William & Kate were part-time working royals, while Harry & Meghan are full-time royals since the start of their marriage. That could be a reason. Still, Kate spent less even though I inflated her spending by 22% and arbitrarily decreased Meghanâs by roughly half.
I realize people count number of engagements differently. Some count number of engagements by days worked, some count each event as an engagement, etc. To be consistent, I used the numbers provided by Tim O'Donovan as he has been the record keeper since 1979.
I wish there is also a focus on the amount of money spent for menâs fashion. Iâm curious as to how much the pieces cost for the men in the family. That being said, itâs definitely not as exciting as womenâs fashion so I can see why.
This is a comparison of each personâs first year of marriage, so its 2011 vs 2018. I might compare William & Kateâs transition year from part-time to full-time royals (I believe July 2017) to Harry & Meghanâs 2011 as that seems to be comparable as well.Â
I put Kate as a part-time working royal because William was a part-time working royal at the time. He was working full-time as part of the Royal Air Force.

I love that The Firm is refuting all her claims almost immediately now but the best thing is yet to happen đ
I like the photos they chose
Itâs so disheartening to see & hear such swipes at an institution that tried to bring you into their fold. Even if youâre dissatisfied with the results, taking passive aggressive swipes at your former employee while you still retain titles & privilege you couldnât have gotten without them is hardly commendable. Noticed the copyright on the video!Â
The LA makeover only spotlights her tendency towards her caucasian side. Rather than âsimply straightenedâ blowdry hair, slimmed face, nose, & fluorescent white teeth showcasing her natural hair & avoiding JessicaMulroney level artifice would have had real impact. She looked just like every other celebrity. Even Priyanka looked and sounded natural. Â
Strange that a group about empowering young girls chose women who married men who elevated their stature & some who focus on their bodies & material objects rather than their minds. Such a wasted opportunity when there are so many accomplished women who did it on their own.

Hi TT, I work in A&E in Surrey and I've seen sh&t I have to tell someone. The bosses here want more money so they fudge the numbers. If you think you've covid you're tested 10+ times. Every test gets a different result. Every test goes down as a new covid case. I knew this hospital was awful, now it's a whole new level. Does anyone know if this scam is widespread or just happening where I work?
I'm so sorry to hear that. I haven't heard about it where I'm at. Maybe some anons have more information. Hope things get better.
Iâm from a STEM family & because of my many MD or RN relatives I can say that is highly irregular, But then again during wartime, there were shoe manufacturers who sold what they knew to be defective boots for use by soldiers. That caught up to them! Tests require more than just result information and need name, age group, and sometimes specifics for contact tracing, It may catch up to this outfit too as data is being standardized for more accurate consolidation for research purposes. And many are already checking that names arenât of deceased. People forget that the volume of data isnât really that high compared to other data gathering activity occurring.Â

22% higher than Manson! đđđđ
OK M gets 61% while Manson, another Californian, a mass murderer from the 60â˛s gets 43% without even being in the news that recently. Well, thatâs embarrassing after all the PR $$$$$$s spent.
Current Mood:
âThe Duke of Edinburgh always notices the little one whoâs got a flower that he or she wants to give to the Queen. There are many many photographs and footage of him picking the child up, taking it over the barrier and letting the child go and give the flower to the Queen. He always notices things like that.â - The Countess of Wessex.
in the second gif (top right) he is like âok she has the flowers, not get fuck out of here you little shitâ lol
