Our Herstory project is coming to a conclusion this Wednesday, with fantastic performances from FLOetic Lara, Sonority Turner and AiNA ROXX to mention a few!

Participants from our workshops have been building their skills and knowledge on how to create spoken word pieces, taught by poet Rosie Knight. 

All the skills they've been building up over these sessions will be put to the test this Wednesday, when they'll be performing their spoken word pieces live on stage.

Our new spoken word project, Herstory, is starting next week. We'll be taking eight 17 - 22 year olds on an exploration of how women are represented in the media's eyes, and how women can empower themselves in today's society.  

Herstory will be ending with a brilliant performance from a mystery spoken word artist, alongside the participants performances, and a free EP of each piece will be given out on the night! Keep tuned for more deets. 

Alongside our research into feminism, we stumbled across the brilliant Barbara Kruger and her truisms, our favourite 'Your Body is a Battleground'

Gilles Peterson Worldwide awards, at KOKO on the 18th January. The event showcases emerging artist alongside more established artist from the world wide underground! With the year just starting we look towards thoughts of what new music this year will offer us.

Christmas and new years was great! but, the youth sauce team is back in the office and ready for action, excited and anxious about our current workload and upcoming projects.

Then take a little time out tomorrow evening to get a bit of an insight into being one!  From the chairwoman of Swallowtail Games Ltd. (a rocking little indie studio) comes a free seminar for 16-24 year olds interested in the gaming industry. Wednesday Art..

Right, so we have a potential illustration project in the pipeline and we're going research crazy on what illustration is and the different types that there are.

There is so much more to creating a piece then we think. Different genres, textures, techniques and styles.

Did you know that some illustrators use physical materials in order to scan into the piece they are working on?

Pretty creative.

Opportunity Tuesdays!
