Vladimir Putin spent several days in Sochi. He and Dmitry Medvedev met with former Prime Minister of Italy Silvio Berlusconi, who was visiting Russia as a private citizen. Vladimir Putin attended the Russian para athletic ski race and biathlon championships and took a few shots with a biathlon rifle. Dmitry Medvedev gave out autographs. Vladimir Putin also toured the bobsleigh/luge track and watched several trial runs. The Prime Minister tried prone shooting, first with an ordinary biathlon rifle and then a rifle for visually impaired athletes with an infrared beam that converts light into sound.
