Maybe Valko (new LI name in LADS) comes from a slavic pronunciation of a word Wolf which goes like Volk (strong and firm “l” sound). I wanted to back it up with Chinese translation of his name 敖尹 (Áo Yǐn), but it stands for other meanings, áo being “stroll/saunter” and yǐn being “governor” (which you can stretch to the idea of a wolf being the ruler of a place where he strolls lol)

Have been seeing a lot of content about new love interest in Love and Deepspace and realised my brains were restless about something familiar in his name 🐺

I wonder if in the verse of JJK Projection Sorcery of the Zenin clan is considered a relatively “new gen” technique since it features animation methods used in different years of animation development.

What is interesting - they used an older approach for Naobito (cr. for HQ Screenshots to @owarinaki )

And when they show us Naoya’s version of the Projection Sorcery, they show us a modern approach in animation (cr. still goes to the @owarinaki)

Something of a similar kind happened to the Dismantle later on in the manga. Here’s the comparison of the technique used by Sukuna and Yuji. When Sukuna uses it, to us it appears as a slash, in the Yuji’s interpretation it’s shown as a line for scissors to cut.

So basically the same technique can be interpreted by the sorcerer based on their understanding of how it should work or on what is more familiar to them.

With Projection Sorcery though I wonder if before the creation of animation and the idea of a “frame” the technique existed in a more simple interpretation such as just “freezing” your enemy in a place in a frame, achieving the slow-mo effect for the enemy just by being Xtimes faster, predicting their moves and so on and so forth.

I mean just imagine the whole lore of the Cursed Technique development over the centuries D: Maybe this particular time and day your technique is really mid and then 200 years later the idea of your technique gets reinvented or just happens to be in the hands of a talented sorcerer who interprets it in the best way possible and thus uses it to its rightful 100% potential (what we kinda saw in the usage of Ten Shadows Technique by Megumi and Sukuna).

Also if Projection Sorcery is really a newer technique compared to all the others in the Zenin Clan, then it’s just a little funny how Toji, Megumi and Maki carry something more traditionally Zenin than the heads of the clan in the time of the anime. I don’t think Gege really meant it that deep but anyways-

Also a fun headcanon: since some of the techniques are based on the real processes and inventions and some are based on science just imagine some poor six-eyes user or the same Zenin projection sorcerer who had to google the basics of animation or physics and gravity push-n-pull in order to use their technique properly and actually being able to understand and explain it to enhance its effect in battle lol

My take is - you can listen to the Treachery as from the Soul Society POV, but you can also make of it Aizen’s POV if applied to the truth about Soul Society and also the inaction of the shinigami around him.

Of course it’s safe to say that the initial idea is still Aizen being a traitor to the Soul Society, but deep in my heart I carry a headcanon of Aizen not being an evil mastermind all along - but rather becoming one

It will never be not funny how in Bleach we don’t even get the chance to choose the side we want to support in the conflict

When we are introduced to the world of Bleach, the first fraction we encounter is Gotei 13 (and Seireitei/Rukongan). Even though we are opposed to the Gotei 13 at first, we gradually become allies with them as a reader. With that in mind we move throughout the story and we learn only what Ichigo is to know about the Soul Society and its origin. Everything controversial we learn only through pieces that are presented to us in a limited way: though Aizen, Urahara, nobles, Zero Squad, Yhwach, and later on the novels and characters who are not directly introduced to the plot.

We learn that shinigami are not as innocent as we would like to believe they are so deep into the story that it is difficult to oppose to them, even taking into consideration that they were the one fraction to put Soul King in the position he is in, parted the world into separate worlds, almost brought to extinction the entire race of Quincy. The problem we are facing is not just some inner political shenanigans of the Council of 46 or noble clans of Seireitei, and the deeper we go into the story the more we understand the motivations of Aizen and Yhwach.

That is to me a perfect way to showcase the work of the point of view, our emotional ties with the characters and our acceptance (=the lack of opposition) of the system because of the characters and our connection, what can easily be put on the real world perspective.

Soul Social has as many bastards as any other fraction and as evil as any other fraction and we are ready for this conversation 🤩

I close my eyes and imagine someone writing here a work about the Heian period sorcery. The clans, the relations, some politics involving canon events and also some historical references such as court, Buddhism being spread in Japan, the controversy around the major clans, the rise and fall of Sukuna and the role of different known to us sorcerers in all of that.

If by any chance you know such a work… would you recommend me something please? 👉👈 Any length, any amount of glass in the plot, just anything similar

At first when I found “sincerely not” I was so happy because of the style, fandom, storytelling match. I guess no need to tell you I cried from one chapter to another and felt a literal heartache to the point of dropping it midway only to come back when it was finished and read it all over again to feel the same way AND also be so angry at that and this character for the things they did

This work is a masterpiece but I don’t think I have it in myself to read it one more time. I still don’t have it in myself to start “sincerely yours” because I can imagine the angst my heart is NOT ready to feel.

Reading it is worth the pain though 🥲🥲🥲
