Putting the term "Catholic guilt" on a high shelf where fandom can't reach it until everyone learns how to identify characters who are very very clearly coded as Protestant.
this is a moment in the original script that I wish they'd kept in the final version of obsession. the absolute disgusting way that real nikki appearing just becomes routine for bear and he completely ignores her in order to keep her. it's so horrifying the way her torment turns into something he hardly acknowledges

art museum websites when the artist was a communist: ...he continued to paint, despite the fact that every time someone in Soviet Russia made abstract art Joe Stalin would personally storm into their studio and start tearing apart the canvas with his teeth
art museum websites when the artist was a nazi: ...his work flourished from 1937–1945, a time where nothing particularly notable happened, and then he emigrated to the united states where he designed buildings for private universities
summer is so great because there are angels with fat asses out there who wear those shorts with a lil bit of cheek comin out. god I'm already getting lightheaded
Victor Frankenstein after achieving the impossible and building a fucking person from scraps of the dead: Oh god, ew, ew it's ugly! Yucky! Yucky! Gross! Ew! Ew! Yucky! Yucky! Gross! Ew!
I love this lobby card from Frankenstein vs. Baragon (1965) so much!
It makes Frankie look like he has magical wizard powers, and makes Baragon look like he can fly!

I love when a movie goes, here you have the people telling the creature should be killed because it is a danger for humanity, here you have the people telling the creature should be studied and kept in their enclosure. And here you have the protagonist, whom just want to save the creature, because they love them.

In this corner - fresh from his New York tour; the Eighth Wonder of the World, King of Skull Island and undefeated champion of a thousand dinosaur rumbles - KONG!
In the other corner - up from the dark caverns beneath Japan, full of fire and hungry for human flesh - BARAGON!
