The Flapper 1923-05 cover (HA Darwin Edit) Artist unknown, 1923. The Flapper was jazz age social media, coordinating with flapper societies across the nation (while simultaneously selling a lot of magazines). A very scarce issue, I'd only seen it in Doug Ellis' Uncovered, his book on the girlie pulps, until this last weekend at Heritage.
