Truly, many things have happened this season. Today I skated for the fans who have continued to watch over me this season even when things were really awful. Unlike in competition, where I wanted to skate for myself, this exhibition skate is for my fans.

Mr Wakasugi from Yomiuri newspaper wrote a comment with his photos.  Translation of the second half: ‘We were waiting for Hanyu-senshu near the competitors’ entrance to take some photos of him, hoping we can capture him walking the distance of 5 metres, from the drop-off area to the entrance. However, his car passed the area and stopped at the car park which is 20 metres away. Can you guess why? He did this so that he could walk a longer distance for us. He always lets us capture him properly. I feel he respects our job, which makes me happy and feel good. Although he walked only for the distance, his expressions and atmosphere changed a lot, which was incredible. I didn’t know which one to post. So I have posted them all - you know why I had trouble to choose one. Which one would you choose?'  Photos HERE
