ywyoungaeâ:Â
@ywyein
itâs cold, as expected. youngae still tied her hair perfectly up, no strands falling off. she sits, shivering, on the steps right out of the front door. her hands hold onto her opposite arms in an attempt to help her current situation. the grey wool sweater seems to barely make a difference. if only her partner for the day could arrive any sooner.
youngae had left early, of course, and she could have just waited inside. it wouldnât be her if she didnât try to make a point. maybe yein should have thought of arriving a little earlier considering everything. this is a working business, after all.
âyah, yein!â she spots her friend not so far away now, and immediately stands up. âcouldnât you have gotten here a bit quicker?â itâs still very early in the morningâespecially considering itâs winter. but in a ranch things work like this. youngae picks up the metal bucket beside her and raises it in the air, everything thatâs inside moving and clanking against the walls. âtake it! quick!â
she woke up uncharacteristically early, shedding her late rising habits and waking up right when her alarm went off. any other day she would have snoozed it a million times before her brother came and woke her up himself, but today was a special day. she had always wanted to try milking a cow, and maybe using the milk to bake something, or use it to make the filling that goes into her custard breads.
but she had spent a lot of time getting ready ( what does a cow milking outfit look like? ), and she rushed to the ranch to make it there on time, though apparently that didnât matter.
âhuh? iâm not late!â yeinâs expression is one of slight confusion as she adjusts her hat, pulling it down on her head so it wonât fall off. she walks quickly to take the bucket from the other girl, holding it with both hands and looking at youngae enthusiastically. âthis is so exciting! do you remember all their names? are they cold? do you put blankets on the cows?â
