Favorite past time?
I’m afraid I never had much time for hobbies. Lately, Yusuke has been introducing Shura and I to human “Sports”.
It’s been interesting, even if I don’t fully “get it.” (Shura’s words.)

YYH Big Bang 2025 -- Let's start with a bang!!
Our annual Big Bang has resulted in some amazing works, and first up to be revealed is @kazimakuwabara's amazing fanfiction with two amazing artists who worked on their fic, @emeraldoodles and @yyh-behind-the-scenes !
Artworks will be featured in the completed fic, previous of which you can see above.

Summary:
On the cusp of aging out of foster care, Kazuma Kuwabara and Yusuke Urameshi are trying to figure out what comes next for the two of them. While trying to think about how to survive on their own, Yusuke opens up a mysterious book that warns not to read The Poem inside. For if you do, a furious Goblin King will come to drag you back to the Makai, a world of fantasy, rebellion, and adventure. A wise man would avoid reading The Poem, but has anyone ever thought of Yusuke and Kuwabara as "wise?" Once the Poem is read, Yusuke is captured and spirited away to Gandara, behind the Labyrinthine forest, and Kuwabara will have to do his best to rescue his friend. But the world is not what it seems; full of danger and terrible misunderstandings. Can Kuwabara save his friend and unite a people torn apart by their past?

I never finished this, but I liked the foundations of the piece enough to show it off. This is another of my band AU where Kuronue, Yomi, and Kurama where previously in a band known as The Bandits. I assume Kuro is the one taking the picture
Parents aren’t always the most impartial judges when it comes to their kids…
I have never identified more with Yomi more than when he said parenting humbled him. This is basically life with my youngest.
This one-shot ORV fanfiction with 4k word count that I wrote in one sitting while drunk on soju keeps getting more kudos than the YYH long fic with 76k word count that I always write while sober.
That’s how it always goes =.= I have fics that I’m legitimately proud of that never see the light of day because it’s not a popular pairing, darker material, etc. But that’s just how things go
This is a redraw of a silly comic I did on my other tumblr but I really wanted to try it again and I’m happy with how all three came out. I love them all, your honor.
I drew a much rougher version of this a while back. But I loved the idea so I decided to redraw it and post it in my Yomi page.
Being a parent rewrites your entire world. They become the sun your entire world orbits… and, oh, how they shine!
The first picture I drew maybe 3 months into getting back into drawing digitally, I always liked the pose and thought it was pretty decent. I thought it would be fun to redraw it now (a year later) to see if I’ve improved. It’s nice to know all these hours of banging my head against a wall hasn’t been in vain.
(I included the grayscale of my second work when it was a WIP. Someone had suggested doing that to check the contrast for the finished piece. Not only does it work but it also made for a pretty sweet picture in and of itself)
I think I’m going to keep going back to this piece each year and trying it again, I’d be curious to see what next year’s looks like!
So I’m redoing this card for @yyh-revival tarot card project. But I wanted to share my original. It’s old compared to my newer stuff but I’m still proud of it. Yomi makes for a damned good Emperor.

You might know him as Master Roshi, Buggy the Clown, Jean Kirstein, Jean Havoc, or many others.
For the Yu Yu Hakusho fans, in the English dub, he voiced Komada (Kuwabara's friend), Butajiri, M3/Kai, Kazemaru, and Risho. YYH (which he worked on from 2002 to 2006) was likely the second anime he ever worked on as part of Funimation, after his work on DBZ.
Apart from voice acting, he was also an assistant ADR director for YYH, so he's likely helped craft some of the scenes and emotion in the dub that you love.
In January, he announced that he was suffering from a brain tumor, and a few days ago, industry friends who had been in charge of the fundraiser shared this.
No matter which series you enjoyed his work on, if you are able, please consider donating to the fundraiser his friends from the industry set up for him, or spreading the word. Personally, I am incredibly thankful to Mike for bringing life and so much personality to a character who is extremely dear to me. And I know others feel the same. Fundraiser and more details:
