HIGH VOLTAGE
This former power plant, linked to the nearby steel industry, became obsolete when the steel industry collapsed. How long this building has been vacated, is not clear. In the meantime, it was almost completely emptied. during a first visit at the end of 2016, what was left was still reasonably intact. The only entrance at the time was via a small window at more than 13 feet above ground level and that was clearly a bridge too far for vandals and other scum. Meanwhile, several and considerably easier entrances have been “created”, which obviously led to the increasing vandalism. Too bad … But for now certainly still worth a look. The most recent visit yielded some nice pictures.
Tumblr only allows me to post 10 photos, so be sure to check out the full album (15 more pictures), either on my website or on my Flickr account. Enjoy!

Trust me, you've always wanted an octopus scarf. Especially one with a vintage vibe, shades of beige and blue. But if not, I bet you know someone who would love it. This scarf is perfect for any age and gender.
Made some fun scarves today on Zazzle. Love this new product!!
Absolutely beautiful mosaic to the Museum of Oceanography of Monaco
A few weeks ago, a young girl saw this rare Argonaut - often called a Paper Nautilus - washed onto the beach at East Cape Conran. She told locals about it and Myke Mollard went and picked up the little dude then released her back into deeper water. Hopefully survived; such a classic ‘animal’ of nature. Enjoy! Ammonites on Matrix (Quenstedtoceras sp., Jurassic) - Volga River, Ulyanovsk, Russia
This extremely artistic assemblage of large and small ammonites from Russia demonstrate an intense iridescence and highlights due to the presence of metallic Pyrite. The cluster has been positioned on a new matrix, as the grainy rock in which these Quenstedtoceras cephalopods were collected is not hard nor stable enough to display them permanently. The added component is an attractive piece of what is known as septarian, a mud-like material that grows in nodules. In this instance, yellowish Calcite crystals and gray sediment have formed the rock on which these colorful ammonites reside. The cluster is quite representative of the Volga River material, and that combination results in a dramatic display specimen.

Set sail for an adventure on the high seas -- or just decorate your apartment as if you were. This picture features a nautical theme in black and white with a bright pop of ocean blue.
New in my Seaside Collection -- anchors! I like this pillow a lot, mostly because of the blue stripes. Summer is the perfect time for sailing, adventures of the sea, or pirate-themed parties! More items soon, but check out the other products in the collection if you are into nautical themes.
Protect your iPhone with a fun design. This tiny checkerboard pattern of black and white with pops of neon colors will bring out your quirky side.
In my New Products collection, I’ve made a few items with this cool (I think) pixellated design. More on the way!
