“–no, no really I’m fine.” Mason shook the other off of her. It was her first party in a while after what declared the great suede boot disaster of the New Year and the tiny girl was beginning to underestimate her size, “its just one more, mom, don’t worry so much.” she giggled.

“Mom? Mom?! You couldn’t even use Dad, but Mom? Oh, okay. I see how it is.” Zachary joked as he watched the girl drink way over her limit. “Sorry for being worried about your liver.”

She nodded to him as they walked and she smile “My brother goes here too, what’s your brother’s name? He’s my adopted brother, I was 17 when my parents died and Tj’s parents were my godparents so they adopted me. I’m a fashion design major, with a minor in marketing. I’d love to hear you sing sometime.”

“My brother is Benjamin Hiver. Don’t know if you know him.” he said, reciprocating her smile. “Really? I’m adopted as well.”

“See, when my kid sister was like...eight, she had this annoying thing of ending every argument by throwing handfuls of glitter at them. That’s how she won. Needless to say, glitter and I were not friends.”

Zack chuckled softly, mainly out of nerves from being put on the spot. “Ah, alright. Well, I’m originally from Vancouver, my brother actually goes here with me and I’m a music major hoping to be performing for a while then move over into music therapy.” he said, just saying the first things that came to his mind. “How about you?”
