“i..” ginny trailed off as she continued running, making a sharp and abrupt turn, dragging zack along with her. they reached the forest’s edge and came to an abandoned town. immediately, ginny ran for the first house she saw, pulling the door open and running inside. once they were both inside, she shut and locked the door. and with that, she fell to the ground, out of breath.

Feeling the sharp turn, Zack made haste to keep up with her so once they made it to the home she had picked out he fell next to her on the ground. But he didn’t stay there for long, just to get his breath before standing up. “I’ll check the house. Make sure all the doors are locked, no walkers, and the windows are shut. You stay here.”

“i have no idea where she went!” ginny squeaked as she ran alongside him, looking back over her shoulder occasionally. “we need to find somewhere to hole up until the storm passes!”

Focusing on the path ahead of him he gave a slight nod, “Fucking great.” Zack nearly growled, “Were there any nearby houses? Shacks? Anything that’ll provide us cover?”

her eyes landed on the walkers incoming and they widened, grabbing hold of her boyfriend’s hand as she began running as well. “where - where the hell are we gonna go, zack?!”

Holding the petite hand tightly he glanced over at Ginny, “Where did Kitty go? Maybe we can head that way!”

“she’d probably win the fight for the cigarettes, anyway.” she laughed, playfully nudging her boyfriend’s arm. “what? butt pads?” she repeated, her eyes widening as she continued to laugh. “i had no idea. was that in case you feel on your ass or something?”

“Yeah... She would. That’s why I gotta hide them... Can you tell her to get her own? She’d kill me if I told her that.” He sighed, Kitty downright terrified him. Mainly because he wanted her approval, he was going to try and propose to her after all. Sure a true marriage wasn’t possible but he wanted to show her that he wanted her, forever. “Yeah, butt pads.” He laughed, “Yeah we get tackled and fall, the butt pads cushion that fall.”

Glancing down at the girl in his arm he shook his head, “Kitty’s been up my ass lately. If I can have some alone time with my girl, I’d really appreciate it.”

Rosalie had her head turned up to the sky, eyes closed as she enjoyed the late fall sun warming her face. The area had been cleared of the undead not long ago, and for the first time in a while she thought she’d have the chance to enjoy some peace and quiet - but it was the snapping of a branch that alerted her otherwise. “Why wouldn’t someone show up?” She muttered before eyes opened to take in their frame. “Can I help you?” Her accent was rough today it seemed - a bad habit from not practicing her English more frequently. “If not - go.”

Walking around the woods, Zack sighed. Kitty and Ginny were back at their camp and he was on supply run duty. Not that there really seemed to be anything anywhere but it never really hurt to try. Well, unless you ran into walkers or people who were just plain mean. Stepping out of some brush he came upon a girl. Frowning a bit he shrugged, “Unless you’ve got supplies that you’re willing to hand over or trade then I guess we really don’t have business.”

“i’ve named him juan.” she said with a smug grin on her face. “don’t ask why - i don’t really have a reason for it. i think it suits him.” she said as she looked over her bat. “yeah, you’re right. we should go into that town to try to find supplies.”

“Juan?” He laughed, “I like it, Gin.” The man then took a grip around her waist and pulled her against his side, “Kitty’s back at the camp. It’ll be nice to have some alone time with my girl.”

“well, i’m sure they’re all expired. on second thought, you might have to fight over them with kitty. i can’t remember if she smokes or not.” ginny shrugged her shoulders. “i’m aware of that - you were a jock in high school. though, you looked good in those tight white shorts.”

At the idea of fighting over anything with Kitty, Zack shuddered, “I’ll make sure to hide them real good. I don’t need your sister on my case, more than she already is.” He chuckled softly, “It’s all the butt pads, but I’ll take the compliment, Ginny.”
