Certainly it was a lot to take in, and of course she was unable to understand it all, not being from the same world as him. She wonders if it was easy to let it all out, if there was some liberation in telling someone absolutely everything. It’s something she’s contemplated a lot, but in the end her most deep thoughts remained where they were. She’s not entirely sure what to say or where to begin, how do you reassure someone that they’re real when evidently, they weren’t?
“Don’t all those experiences, and all those feelings make you real though?” Such things are what made up a person. “Even if you were this fayth’s dream, didn’t you become more than that during your journey?” A light shrug of her shoulders follows, as she simplifies matters quite easily. “It sounds tough…I guess it’s something I can’t really understand huh?” When perhaps she could. After her death all she left behind were memories, fragments of herself within those who’s lives she’d touched, it was the only thing to prove that she had lived, otherwise she might as well have been a mere dream. Easily forgotten. “But I think as long as people are thinking of you, like that girl, you’ll always be much more than a dream,” whether it could be physically achieved or not, in that girls heart he would be. “Maybe that’s not much consolation, when you’re the one who has to leave them behind,” to continue the dream. “It’s not easy,” and silently she understands.
Just by listening to her words, he could tell that Aeris was such a kindhearted person. Willing enough to listen his story and even trying to reassure him was pretty good confirmation for that. She could have chosen not to listen to him, and he’d honestly understand if she went down that road, because quite frankly, he didn’t often open up this much, but for one reason or another, the timing seemed right.
He cupped his chin in his hand briefly. “Y’know, I never actually thought of it like that before. Maybe you’re right.” This way of thinking brought him comfort. He couldn’t expect her to understand everything, but she seemed to know what to say. Her warmness was fairly easy to open up to. “I guess... I might just be a dream, but my feelings are real, that much I’m sure about.” he managed to say. “It’s definitely not easy, but I guess the best way to put it is that I am what I am. Thanks, Aeris. I think that was something I needed to hear.”
