Thoughts on the new Zane look for Borderlands 4?

I think I'll always be partial to Zane's original look - the way I fell in love with him - but damn if he isn't handsome with his new style! I felt the designers definitely noticed the love his Ronin style received and went with that. I just felt there was a lot more intention with his first design but could see, from a character standpoint, how maintaining short spikes and crisp facial hair lines would take too much effort when he's busy trying to survive. Zane knows he's the Galaxy's Sexiest Hitman no matter what and doesn't even need the ongoing title to be self-assured.

I appreciated seeing his white t-shirt for some reason, and find the details in his visible cyber bodysuit to be really intriguing. Even more interesting: the fact that his hands are bare. He would still have plenty of need for hand protection with all his gun fighting, right? And with all his drinking?? It makes him seem extra exposed! I admit, I did joke with my husband that Zane is going for a hobo chic vibe, but I jest with love. And I also have headcanons that his scruff and long hair come into play when he's with some special someones. ;)

Hindsight being 20/20, seeing she's just a bad person after watching further episodes, I had very much changed my status on Stella from seeing how badly she treats/treated Stolas.
