If your character had to survive one week in the modern world, what’s the first thing they’d do and what would completely confuse them?

I love this question! I think she’d spend her first day quietly observing, learning how this strange world works before making a move… but the thing that would completely bewilder her? Smartphones. Like, the fact that mortals carry a device with the power to access nearly all knowledge in existence? That would truly blow her mind.

Which cast member is most like their character, and which cast member is the complete opposite?

Lupita! She’s effortlessly stunning and absolutely lives up to the “most beautiful woman in the world” title. And least like their character? I’d have to say Rob. He’s far too goofy and lovable to ever convince me he’s a villain.

If you could swap roles for another character, who would you choose and why?

Hmm, I think I’ll go with Circe. She stands out to me because she’s not just a villain or a hero, she’s complex. I always feel like those are the most interesting characters to play.

What was the hardest scene to film (or perform), and what made it so challenging?

Okay, I don’t want to spoil anything, so I’ll keep it vague… but that scene at the end between Matt and me? Yeah. If you know, you know…

If your character had a Spotify playlist, what would be the first song on it?

Only When I'm Dreaming by Minnie Riperton.

What was it like being part of a Christopher Nolan movie? What did you learn from it?

Listen, anyone who knows me knows I’m the biggest Nolan fan. Interstellar is my favorite movie of all time, so being part of a Christopher Nolan film is truly a dream come true. The biggest learning experience was  simply watching him work… seeing his attention to detail and his passion for storytelling? It’s incredibly inspiring.

If you could take one prop, costume, or set piece home from Odyssey, what would you choose and why?

Honestly? A helmet. Is that a weird answer? I don’t know, but I mean… wouldn’t that just be the coolest display piece ever?

DUNE: PART THREE PANEL: ZENDAYA

What was the biggest challenge in adapting such a long and complex novel into one film?

Oh gosh… I think the biggest challenge is preserving the heart of the story while making it work as a film, but Denis does that so beautifully. We've been incredibly lucky to have him guiding this journey from the very beginning.

Be honest, did you have to get out sand from your clothes and shoes after every day of shooting?

So. Much. Sand. There’s no escaping it.

How does the scale of Dune 3 compare to the first two films?

Bigger and better in every possible way! I know, I know… it’s the answer everyone expects, but it’s 100% accurate. Trust me.

How is it working with the director Denis Villeneuve on set?

Oh, he’s the best! There’s just something really special about the way Denis leads, you know? He has such a clear vision, but he makes everyone around him feel seen and heard. It creates such a wonderful atmosphere on set, and it’s been an absolute honor to be part of his world. I adore him.

How much of the movie was filmed on location versus on soundstages?

It’s a little bit of both! The majority of the desert sequences are filmed on location, so we’ve spent a lot of time out in the desert over the years, but many of the interiors and larger set pieces are brought to life on soundstages.

Would you say filming a huge action scene is harder, or a more personal dramatic scene?

Ooh I’d definitely say the action scenes! They're still pretty new territory for me, so they can be a little intimidating at first, but honestly? I really enjoy the challenge. It's fun getting to push myself in a different direction.

Describe Dune: Part Three in three words?

Bleak. Bold. Brilliant.
