My new lair. That Skydancer is up for auction, but I'm mostly imperials. The only non-imperial is my WildClaw Yang for my Yin. I just scatterscrolled Foam to be Cat's mate. And I love their tert combination. I cannot wait the 26 days for them to breed!

Some more of tonight’s adoptables :D I’m really pleased with how these are going down, although I’m thinking I might put some kind of cap on how many I do for each base? I don’t know if that would be a good idea? I’d like them to be special for people, but also I really like them and want everyone that wants one to be able to have one! Right now I think I’ve done 12 of the Guardians and 4 Pearlcatchers. Maybe I’ll keep these ones unlimited and do a special, Limited Edition set at some point?
Anyway you can find my art board for these HERE, although my slots are currently full I do have a waiting list :) I’m moving house this week so I’m super busy, but after that… well I still have two shimmer genes to buy, 2 Iridescent genes and a skydancer scroll. Nooo then the only purple we would have had is violet. And even though I like violet the brown accent thing is a little odd. I LOVE ROYAL. And lavender, and maize and rose and leaf and… wow I can name all these colors I have a problem.

My only problem with Vadeski is they never named my Imp’s father (he’s still in Vadeski’s lair). But otherwise whatever I’ll buy from whoever has the lowest price or the dragon I want.

i’m honestly kinda miffed at the poor reception my art has received by the FR community so far. it’s what i do for a living, and honestly i’ve never had trouble getting commissions, or at least recognition, on any site or fandom i’ve joined. i even had a giveaway that only received three…
/looks through art Well, a lot of your other stuff is love! Now, speaking from someone who is extremely picky, and has only bought a comission once before because I’m dirt poor, and that commission was from a friend I trusted, but have been keeping my eyes open as I am starting a new job soon and must now have ALL THE ARTS, I do have a couple things which would prevent me from picking you for the Flight Rising art. First, I would suggest maybe having a more detailed dragon piece as your example. Not that your’s isn’t cool, but… how can I put this. /thinks I don’t know how much you’re charging for a regular commission (I poked around but can’t find it? Maybe make it a bit more obvious attached to the post you are advertising with- oh wait, it says haggle. I would at least give a range! I would feel nervous approaching because I wouldn’t know where to start and etc), but for a piece that takes 30 minutes like you said that one did I would pay about 10 bucks. If you are charging more for comissions, and the pieces are naturally more detailed and not a quick example, I would be unsure what those would look like. I mean, I’ve loved certain pieces in black and white by artists, and then their finished colored works are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT in terms of what I would want. The way a artist colors in and adds details can be something that either seals the deal or kills it for me. So tl’dr: I would make the price range a bit clearer just giving rough examples, and I would have a dragon piece that shows your range better as you have some REALLY lovely stuff, but I wouldn’t know how that translates onto Dragons. I hope that helped a bit!
NO THAT HELPED A LOT. Thank you! I’m just really shaky about what I should charge. I charge $15 an hour as an illustrator, and I know it needs to be quite a bit lower for clicky game, but I have no idea how that translates into treasure. ;v;
Most sites like FR actually don't give you as much as an illustrator should receive. Thinking back to when I played Furry Paws religiously, I would work for 6+ hours on a piece that I was lucky to receive 5-10$ for. Even artists like Henu (henu.deviantart.com) received $30 tops for some of her large artwork displayed on her DA. Sad, honestly. Illustrating is very tough field to get work for as I'm sure you're well aware of. But until we stop selling art (despite our dire needs for cash) for such low prices, the artist will only grow more over worked. :c
