40. The Video Game Slip at Toys 'R' Us

Buying a video game is a pretty great experience. I don’t do it often, so when I do, it feels like a big event. Walking in to the video game aisle, locating a particular title, and knowing that I’ll be home enjoying it in a few moments is one of the finer things in life.

See, I’m an adult now, and adults are allowed to buy video games whenever they want.  Even though I have technically been an adult for twelve years, this power is something that still hasn’t gotten old to me.

As good as the experience is, it was even more exhilarating when I was younger. To explain why, we have to journey back in time to a very special place, a place that was for many years the mecca of Nintendo software.

Life is Strange Sacrifice Self Fanmade Ending (Audio Only)

So this is an idea I have had for quite some time. We all know about the commonly discussed "Sacrifice Self" ending. Here is my personal take on the theorize...

As many of you all know, one of the most commonly theorized fan endings is a “Sacrifice Self” ending: An ending where Max ends up getting shot instead of Chloe. This project is my own take on this ending. I used raw audio files from the game itself to put together this ending.

THIS IS AN AUDIO ONLY PROJECT! Reason being is that I do not have skills to animate models or to develop scenes in Unreal Engine software…However, if someone wants to take up the visual portion of this project, PLEASE MESSAGE ME! I would love to see this scene rendered in UE4 or other 3D software!!

Alright For Now (request made by blues-man)

The direct inspiration for this is this piece by our artist @wildernessspirits. Both images will be used in the VN to depict a flashback to an earlier moment of that time-skip between Chapters 7 and 8. This specific scene is when Max goes to visit Chloe during a break from her first semester of college. You’ll notice the promise ring Max is wearing and the bullet necklace from Laura’s artwork are in here – the idea is that when Max goes off to college, Chloe lends Max these items as keepsakes and such.

Max has been teaching herself guitar inbetween her schoolwork for the purpose of – what else? – serenading her girlfriend.

Big thank you to blues-man for putting this together. I hope we can collab on more like this for the VN.
