Seeing her move. Seeing those limbs extend. When she opens her mouth, it tends to be funny ā unwittingly, but funny. But underneath her mad exterior, sheās sharp."
Sally could tell she was torturing him and it made her smirk a bit. She liked the feeling of being able to make someone feel exactly what she was feeling. She knew he could tell that she didnāt want to watch a movie, but he was good at playing innocent and it made things more fun. She picked outĀ Crazy Stupid LoveĀ because it was a romance movie and it might be pretty okay. āIām not sure why you have that movie but itās adorable.ā She smiled up at him.
When he put his arm around in a cheesy fashion, it made her blush a little as well. She had never had a guy be interested in her, even to pull something that cute either. As he kissed her temple, she smiled, turning even more of a deep red. She looked up at him, smiled, and kissed him softly. Hopefully this wasnāt one of those short kisses, but one that would last forever in her mind.
Zero smiled at the sight of her face turning red as he kissed her, soon his face matched hers when she returned the kiss ten fold. It wasn't that the kiss was super passionate or even really deep, it was just something more than just a plain ol' kiss. Something he couldn't exactly describe, like a feeling that he knew that this kiss meant more than a 'thanks for letting pick the movie' or 'thanks for being there', it was 'this was the first of many from my lips' kind of thing. Someone told Zero once that takes men to fall in love in 7 seconds, but women fall in love in about a week or two. Now he wasn't sure about that, but he knew that he would forever tie the moment he fell completely in love with her to this kiss. He cupped her face pulled her closer not daring to let the kiss end. It may have started soft and sweet, but Zero was turning it more passionate.
It wasn't long before one kiss turned to twenty then to unknown amount, long, gasping for air, longing for the other's lips type of making out. Then Emma Stone was mocking Ryan Gosling for looking photo shopped and somehow that made Zero remember that this was probably rushing things and he pulled away biting his lower lip slightly still feeling her lips against his. "Sorry..." He uttered leaning back in the couch and clearing his throat trying his hardest to calm down before things got even more rushed.Ā
Sally looked up at him and kissed him lightly. She didnāt want him to do anything but be with her. She kissed him a little harder and then leaned her head on his chest. āI just want to be with you right now. Just me and you. Maybe a movie?ā She smiled a bit at him, looking softly in his eyes. She pulled him slowly over to the couch, laying herself down and patting the spot next to her. She didnāt know what was coming over her, it had to be something about this man in front of her.
Zero let her kisses engulf him, each time feeling too short when she pulled away. He could be there for her for a million years, he knew that the second his eyes graced her face. "Okay..." he breathed out softly as she pulled him towards the couch. He didn't know what was happening, but he liked it. A movie? A movie could work, lord knows he had movies. Books and movies, Zero's house was filled with stacks of them, lining the stairs, stacked on tables, stuffed into bookcases, all over the place. The oddest place being the oven, which he never used, the oven was reserved for the books and movies that needed a time out, The Fault in Our Stars was a current resident.
Zero picked up a pile of DVD's laid out on his coffee table and held them out for her to pick. "Ladies choice." He smiled and quickly put her choice in to start before rushing back to the couch next to her. He felt ridiculous as he did it, but Zero yawned to mask himself as he put his arm around her. Now there was something out of a movie alright, a cheesy one. Zero glanced over at Sally and smiled, blushing ever so slightly before pulling her closer to him. "I'll always be here if you need me." He whispered in her ear before kissing her temple.
Sally waited patiently for something to change into, looking around at his beautiful house. Sheād always wondered what it was like to live on your own and follow your own rules. Maybe youād feel less guilty breaking those rules than she did right now. She looked up as he walked down theā¦
Sally looked at the items of food laid on the counter and then looked up at him, a big smile on her face. āHey you.ā She said softly, walking closer to him after he put her clothes in the drier. She wasnāt going to lie, there was something about Zero that made her, well, really turned on. He was hot, thatās all she could think of. How his clothes fit her just the way they should and he wasnāt afraid to do anything with her. She smirked to herself and then frowned when he asked if she was okay. āNot really, I mean. When Iām with you, everything is perfect. Itās like all the horrible things in my life justā¦disappear. But my father is very protective but not in a good way. Which is why I had to sneak out to come and see you.ā She spoke softly, embarrassed by her story. She walked closer to him before wrapping her arms around him. She hugged him lightly, hoping he couldnāt feel her crying silently.
Zero didn't know what to say. What does a normal human say to that? He knew what he felt though. Zero knew that he was angry and oddly protective of her considering they just met not that long ago. He couldn't imagine anyone hurting her without wanting to hurt them back, and truthfully that wasn't Zero's style. He was the talker and king of keeping a cool head, yet the the idea of her being hurt at the hand of someone else, especially someone who was supposed to protect her was infuriating. Zero swallow hard, choking down his rage towards her father and wrapped his arms around her tightly. Sometimes you just need that, someone to hold you tight and tell you it was going to be okay, so that's what he did, Zero held her and waited till she was ready to let go. "I'm here, it'll be okay." He whispered in her ear, gently petting her silky red hair.
"What can I do to make you feel okay?" He asked after some time. He wasn't sure what he could do, maybe talk with her father, maybe give her somewhere to flee from him. St the very least Zero was determined to hold her till she felt safe as many times as she needed it.

Sally waited patiently for something to change into, looking around at his beautiful house. Sheād always wondered what it was like to live on your own and follow your own rules. She looked up as he walked down the stairs and smiled softly. āThank you Zero, Iāll be right back.ā She said softly, taking the clothes and kissing his cheek before running up the stairs. She went into the bathroom to change. She took off her wet clothes and started to put on the sweatpants. Not realizing there was a big hole in the left knee, she put her whole leg right through it. She laughed, fixing the pants and finishing changing. She walked downstairs, her wet clothes folded up and she handed them to him. āThank you for being so kind to me, Zero. Itās wonderful and quite different than what I am used to.ā She said with a rather large grin as she stared at the handsome man in front of her.
Zero put on the kettle of water, lighting the stove extra careful, the last thing he needed was burnt eyebrows. While he continued to wait for her to change and the water to boil, Zero searched for something for them to eat. Though all he could find was a box of Tim Tams and some Rice Krispies cereal. Ā Zero sat the options on the counter and was debating on the two when he heard her faint laugh from upstairs, a smile instantly formed on his face along with a raised brow as to what made her laugh. He did remember to hide his dirty clothes, didn't he? While he was doing a mental recap of whether he did in fact tuck all the dirty clothes he could both under his bed and under his bed sheets he heard her coming down the stairs.
"Hey," he smiled as he saw the way she looked wearing his clothes. They suited her well, and honestly see her in them was a big turn on, but all he did was smile. His smile faded though when she told him she wasn't used to someone being kind to her. Zero couldn't imagine such a thing, Sally was far too amazing to be anything but kind to. Zero took her clothes and tossed them in the dryer quickly. "Sally, um I hope you don't think I'm butting in here, but uh... are you okay? I mean, are you safe?" He asked.
Zero smiled, ānot that I know of.ā He had a hard enough time dealing with ghosts, he couldnāt imagine having everyoneās thoughts in his head. Zero shook his head at the idea. āItās just over here.ā He said motioning to his small home, hoping that she wouldnāt mind the...
Zero rushed back upstairs to grab some sort of clothes for Sally. All he could find that was one clean and two would fit her were a plain white tee and some old grey sweatpants. The sweatpants had in fact seen better days, Zero had them since his last year of high school, the left knee was torn wide open and there was an old ink stain on the right. They were comfy and they were his lucky pair, well they were his favorite pants. Plus they have draw strings. He came back downstairs looking at the bundle of sweatpants hoping she wouldn't mind or least put up with them. "Uh, now I swear these are clean. There's a bathroom upstairs that you can change in and I can toss your clothes in the dryer if you want." Zero explained as he handed her the pile.

"You sure you canāt read minds?" She said with a soft smile. She was glad that he suggested to go back to his house, her dad would still be passed out. She wanted to spend every second she could with him. She took his hand and blushed as he kissed her cheek. "Quiet is just perfect. Just like you." She looked up at him, grinned and kissed him quickly.
Zero smiled, "not that I know of." He had a hard enough time dealing with ghosts, he couldn't imagine having everyone's thoughts in his head. Zero shook his head at the idea. "It's just over here." He said motioning to his small home, hoping that she wouldn't mind the plastic jack-o-lantern left over from Halloween on his porch. "Now, um it might be a bit messy and kinda small. But hey, it's home." He shrugged in the pouring rain. There was no doubt that they were soaked. He opened the door for her and ran upstairs for some towels. "Don't worry about dripping or anything, the floor needs mopping anyway!" He yelled downstairs, shortly following with a arm full of towels. "Do you want to borrow some clothes? I might have something that won't drown you."

Sally played with his wet hair a bit and smiled, nodding. āWell, then we are.ā She grinned and looked into his eyes once more. Home? Where was that? It felt like home was with him, the place that made her most happy. It was not where she lived, trapped in her room. All she could do was go to school and go home. Her dad was always watching her unless she knew he had fallen asleep. She sighed, shaking her head. āAre you sure? I mean, home isnāt exactly where I desire to be right nowā¦ā She said, looking up at him with sad eyes.
"Um... well how about my place for some tea and towels?" Zero hoped that was okay, truthfully he didn't want the date to end either. One day he would have to ask why she seemed to want to avoid going home, but maybe it was just because of him. Zero offered her his hand and kissed her cheek. "It's over near the cemetery, hopefully that won't creep you out. I mean it's extra quiet." He laughed. Ā

Zero was the first guy she had ever kissed but she didnāt tell him. She let their lips take over what they were going to do. She wrapped her arms around his neck, moving closer to him as the rain fell. She smiled against his lips, moving her body onto his lap so they were on one swing. She moved her lips from his and looked into his eyes with a huge smile. āSo, does this mean weāre dating?ā She chuckled, looking up at the rain coming down heavy now. She started laughing a bit harder, her hair getting drenched as she looked down at him again.
When she sat on his lap, Zero gripped tight to the chains trying and praying not to fall back. He couldn't help but smile as he stifled a laugh against her lips, the whole situation seemed blissfully funny to him. The looks they must be getting. Two grown adults sitting on one swing kissing in the middle of the rain. Feeling like he had good enough balance Zero removed one hand from the chain and brushed back her soaking hair. "I certainly wouldn't mind that." He smiled, shaking his hair out of his eyes. It was fast paced, but it was all that he wanted. It's crazy how that happens with some people, just one second with them and you know that you were meant to spend forever with them. "I should probably walk you home, before we catch our deaths." Zero said as another loud crack of thunder roared across the sky.Ā

Sally was actually thrilled he kissed her, seeing as though she hadnāt had her fair share of kissing. She didnāt know why but after they were done kissing, she felt like he had taken her breath away. She looked up at him and giggled. āHello.ā She nudged his nose a bit with hers and smirked. āAs are you, Zero.ā She moved her head to look at him with a big smirk. She moved back in, loosely wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him again, a bit more softly than before. She tried to show him all of her feelings with just her lips, a bit easier said than done.
Zero smiled widely as she complimented him, he hadn't had much practice. Jack had tried to set him up a couple of times, but would never last. The longest relationship lasted only a month before she said they were better off as friends and then pretended Zero never existed, but that was back in high school. "Than-" Zero began before her lips cut him off rather pleasantly, immersing him in yet another kiss. She was very good at kissing, he loved her lips instantly and the way they made his lips taste afterward. Zero closed his eyes and wrapped his arms around her waste gently pulling her closer to him as thunder cracked across the sky and droplets started falling.Ā

"Tha-" she was about to say thank you when her lips were interrupted with his. She was a bit shocked but slowly sank into the kiss. She cupped his face with her hand, kissing him back slightly. She pulled back and rested her forehead on his, a big grin across her face. She looked up at him, her cheeks more rosy than before. She couldn't think of anything to say so she just smiled.
Zero couldn't believe that he had it in him to kiss her, even more so he couldn't believe that she kissed him back. He was sure that never in the history of the world had a kiss felt so perfect. She was his match, that he was sure of. Falling for her came as easily as breathing. Zero smiled back at her as their foreheads rested against each other. "Hi" he said softly, unsure of what else to say. "You're quite good at that, by the way." He added wishing to kiss her again.

Sally watched him become bashful, laughing as he fell back in his swing. "You surely are something, Zero." She said with a large smile. She looked up at him when he called her attractive, taking his hand softly and nodding. "Why thank you. No one's ever told me that but thank you." She smiled warmly at him, trying to make him a bit more comfortable.
"You're kidding? A girl like you?" Zero was stunned to hear that someone as beautiful as her was never told so. He gripped her hand softly and cupped her face with his spare hand. "Well, my dear Sally Finkelstein, you are gorgeous." He said suddenly finding a more courageous self, and while he was still feeling bold he leaned in slowly and kissed her. She might slap him, she might scream that she never wanted to see him again, but maybe just maybe she might kiss him back. Zero was feeling bold and confident, it was new and exciting feeling and he was enjoying every second.

Sally smirked back and sprinted to the swing set. She though that maybe he'd be a gentlemen and let her win. Then again, where's the fun in that? She looked around for Zero before noticing him out of breath by the first swing. She laughed and sat next to him. "I'll get you next time, Zero. I just uh...I twisted my ankle..yeah, on a pebble." she said with a small grin. She looked over at him and blushed a little but didn't break eye contact. "You're very attractive." She said accidentally, thinking out loud.
Zero had never ran so fast in his life, it didn't even occur to him to let her win. He was catching his breath as she came up. "Oh, are you okay?" He asked looking at her ankle genuinely concerned. Then she said it, she thought he was attractive. He looked at her shocked, he had no idea what to do. Obviously he thought she was attractive and then some. Zero chuckled nervously and went to lean on the swing causing him to fall back. "I'm fine!" He stammered sitting up. "So uh... these swings." He said as he stood up looking down bashfully. "You're uh, very attractive too." Zero added still looking down.

Sally looked up to the skies as well, although the rain never really bothered her. She was known to go out in the rain and dance in the puddles. She looked at him with a giant smile and nodded. "Yes! I'm afraid you might have to fight for your swinging crown, though." She said with a small laugh.
Zero smiled and quirked his eyebrow, "is that so? Well you are on." It didn't take long to get to the park and soon the swing set was in sight. Zero smirked and gently nudged Sally, "race ya?" He took off trying to not to trip.

Sally smiled brightly and took his arm. "I'm ready to do anything with you, Mr. Hinterlands." She grinned, kissing his cheek softly. She was willing to do anything with him, she knew that she would never be alone again. Not with him here. And she absolutely loved that knowledge. She walked with him out of the door, looking up at him and smiling. She rested her head on his shoulder as they walked, the grin on her face sticking.
He grinned from ear to ear as she kissed his cheek, the warmth of her kiss lingering on his cheek. Zero looked around the street and picked the direction towards the park for their walk. Looking up at the sky he hoped the skies would cooperate, the grey sky looked just a bit too unfriendly. Maybe if they were lucky they could find two empty swings before it rains. He couldn't help but feel some pride as they walked. "How about the park? The flowers should be in bloom by now. And a bonus, there's a playground. Not to brag, but I'm a A+ swinger." Zero said with a smile, though he really hadn't stopped smiling since she walked into the tea shop.Ā

Sally nodded and smiled. "Okay, if you say so." She looked up at the guy and just grinned. He was special, something really special. She didn't know what it was it why but he already made her so happy. It was crazy but true. "I would love to go on a walk with you!" She beamed.
Zero smiled and got up to pay the bill, leaving a nice tip for their waitress. "Well then Ms. Finkelstein, are you ready to go on an adventure?" He asked as he offered her his arm. He wasn't sure where they would go or what they would do, but he felt he could do anything with her there beside him. Maybe they would see a movie or go dancing in the park. Or maybe they would just walk and look at flowers.

"No, no! It's cute." She grinned as he touched his face. As soon as he said he needed a shrink, the heat in her cheeks increased immensely. "Oh no! I didn't mean it like that. I meant as me getting to know you better." She sighed a bit, turning her smile to a frown. "I'm sorry, I don't think you're crazy or anything. I promise."
Zero waved off her frown, he really didn't want her to get upset. "No, no I know it's fine. Don't worry about it. I would love to get to know you more too." He assured her. Though he had to admit to himself that there was something about Sally that made him feel as if he had known her for years. She had a familiar quality about her that made her seem almost like... well like home. Zero smiled and asked, "do you want to go on a walk with me?"
