Day 4: Jellyfish

My kombucha looks very healthy. It’s developed a nice layer of growth on the top. I messed it up a little because I noticed there was a net fiber in the new growth. But, I don’t think that’s guna hurt it. It’s crazy. I feel like I’m pregnant and just waiting for the baby to come out. I don’t know how its guna turn out, but I’m excited. I’m a little scared to taste it coz it smells very vinegary, but I’m excited. It looks like jellyfish have started to grow inside the jar.  My little kombucha jellyfish.

Yesterday I had the chance to brew my first batch of kombucha. It only took about 30 minutes to brew the tea and cool it down to put it in my big glass jar. I’ll update you in a week to let you know how it goes. 

p.s. on a totally random side note- the mosquito net is not required. this was totally improvised. My dad gave me that awesome head gear when we planned a family trip to Catalina Island. He must have thought I said Amazon jungle instead of Catalina. LOL. It’s working though!
