Such a beautiful day today. It reminded me of a conversation I had when I was a kid that helped changed my perspective on life. A neighbor of mine, an elderly fellow, was walking down the street. He said, "its as blue as blue can be. So beautiful." Confused I replied, "what?" Then he said, "the sky of course." We began talking for hours. I learned that he was a Vietnam war vet and served this country with pride and honor. But one thing that stuck in my head and changed my view point on life was "never take anything you have for granted, especially the beauty of the place we live in (the earth). To slow down and really appreciate the thing you yourself have. The sky is so blue and most people will miss the beauty of it. Society moves so fast now a days. It's the people who slow down and value life. Those are the ones who can truly find happiness." I remember this conversation like it was yesterday.
