Update on author reveal: I’m going to push the reveal back a few days, because I’d live to give people more of a chance to check the fics out before I reveal writers. And after a talk with a friend, I realized that tomorrow/thursday is kind of early, especially for the last few fics posted.

I hope you guys understand! I’ll reveal them this weekend. In the meantime, get reading :)

hi everyone! right after this i’m going to be posting the final fic of the exchange! i just wanted to say thank you to all the writers (original sign-ups and pinch hitters) for working so hard on their fics and making this exchange a really fun one! also, thank you to all the readers for your support of the fics! and to all the betas for making the fics nice and pretty for us all to read.

if you’re on a computer then you just have to click next. it’s at the bottom of the sidebar menu. 

if you’re on mobile then it’s probably an app issue???? idk… any kind of mobile issue isn’t anything i know how to solve. i’m clueless!

Hi, it's me, the original kudos anon from last night. Thank you so much for saying that. I definitely need to remind myself of that like constantly: to not care too much about what other people think. It's hard a lot of times though, is all. Especially when one of your other fics gets a lot of kudos&you feel all tingly but then this one you thought was just as good doesn't get as many. But I'll keep trying. :) (Also, as fate would have it, right after that message my receiver left kudos on it!)

hiiiiii i’m glad your recipient did that! sometimes it just takes ppl longer to find them (and to read them). 

but listen, i 100000% understand what you’re feeling. i think everyone goes through times where they feel that way. you should ask my friend/beta, the poor thing gets emails from me with every fic (without fail) where i’m freaking out (once i cried) about my fic and then later, after however long of feeling like crap, i’ll send her an email and be like “wow, this is by far the greatest thing i’ve ever done. my gift to the world.” ((i think she wants to fight me sometimes, esp the time i cried haha)). 

but the thing you have to remember is, someone else’s success is not your failure. if someone else has 1000 kudos and you don’t, that doesn’t mean you’ve failed. and it doesn’t reflect negatively on you. you’re successful in your own way, no matter what the numbers are, just like everyone else, whether your fic has 1000 kudos or just 1. 

so try and remember to not be so hard on yourself. no matter how hard it is! but keep writing, anon!! keep doing what you love and what makes you happy. hope you’re feeling better!!!
