On the way to DZÜKO VALLEY ! Located in one of the beautiful north eastern states of India - Nagaland. Let’s give you a virtual ride and make you feel a little like what we felt. On a brief, it starts as a trek going deep inside dense forests, climbing and crossing from one mountain to another. So, it rained the other day making our trek day calm, pleasant, foggy with the resonating sounds of forest winds, birds chirps and all kind of pleasantries one would want on a trek day. Obviously, a few trails were slippery adding it to an adventure but again majority of the trails were absolutely lovely. On a random winter day, one can expect the same magnificent trek experience. The main entrance into the trek starts from the foothills of VISWEMA which is a village in Kohima district and one can travel till the rest house above Teyozwü Hill(Base Place like a base camp) by a good 4x4 which can be provided at our acquaintance. Better try to avoid driving your own vehicle. Now that we have reached the base place, debriefing the trek, it’s approximately an hour climb to the top of the mountain KHIYOKE. This is where the DZÜKO VALLEY starts and to witness the actual beauty of the valley, a patient and approximate 2 hours trek is all you need and we assure you of. Now that you have felt what it actually feels like on top of a mountain valley, it will be hard to leave the place but we have got you covered with a different route option which is through JAKHAMA village which would be equally enthralling. Recently, the MANIPUR MOUTNAINEERING and TREKKING ASSOCIATION(MMTA) has opened a new approximate 5 hour trek route from MOUNT TEMPÜ - the Senapati district of Manipur to DZÜKO VALLEY.
