向天在借五百年 (Asking the Heavens for Another 500 Years) by 韩磊 Han Lei
Used as the opening theme for the 2001 TV show, Kangxi Dynasty (康熙王朝), which covers the tumultuous years of Kangxi Emperor in the Qing Dynasty, the song is sung from the point of view of Zheng Chenggong (Koxinga), a military general of that era, as the song was originally written for the drama Hero Zheng Chenggong (大英雄郑成功).
Chinese captions and English translation by me :)
read The Paper Menagerie by Ken Liu which came very highly recommended. I'm sorry to say, it is emotional slop. A short-story that solely hinges on making the reader cry by pulling on the mother-son relationship. Felt its depiction of Chinese culture also came off as quite trite. Of course, you can argue that we are looking at Chinese culture through the point of view of the main character who is Typical Wasian^TM so it comes off that way. I really didn't like the ending emotional beat of the story. Felt like it really glossed over the whole mail-order bride thing, which is by far the worst thing to happen to the mum. Like really? You're going to go into detail about your horrible experiences in China but then just leave being sold off as a mail-order bridge as just being 'lonely' but your 'dad was nice to me.' Felt like it was a story about being Chinese that was addressed towards White Americans. Which is a more poignant and on-point remark of the Chinese-American experience than the story itself is.
I'm sorry Ken Liu, I was too harsh. This is a literary masterpiece compared to World War Z by Max Brooks. That book and the author Stinks!

Did (another) redraw of Gon’s character introduction. I told myself I was taking a break from hxh but what if… mini print series of all the main character introductions? This was inspired by the riso work of Natalie Andrewson & bottlingsunshine

My favorite thing about the Greed Island arc is Gon and Killua clearly giving Hisoka time to do his hair and makeup before they head out to play dodgeball
