Unpopular Opinion Time
Let’s start off by saying this: collecting information is wrong, using that for doxxing and sending out malicious viruses even more so, full stop. What has happened in the creator community recently is just shit and should not have happened in the first place, but here we are. But how exactly did we get here?
I have some thoughts on custom content creation and with all the drama lately, it needs addressing. I will put under a read more as I like to ramble.

I was considering writing my own post on this topic, but @peacemaker-ic summed up my thoughts better than I ever could, so I’ll just reblog with a small addendum:
I’ll forever be against exclusive content behind a paywall that creates a class division within your community.
I’ll forever be against abusively long early access windows (and not just because of EA’s official terms, but also because it’s a very shitty thing to do to the people who support you).
And I’ll forever be against doxxing your supporters, under any circumstances. If your content is on downwithpatreon or any similar site, you deserve it and you’re a terrible creator. Don’t ask for respect when you can’t even respect the people who give you a platform.
