Just going to sit here casually.
I don’t think I was meant to have any from of best friends. Sad but true.
No, don't even say that. Apparently you're just picking the wrong ones.
Just going to sit here casually.
I don’t understand Pretty Little Liars at all. I don’t get it. Eh, people are coming up to me like, ‘Oh God, pretty little liars is awesome’ blah blah blah. I’m like, what?
What?! How? I don't understand you at all. Have you ever even given it a chance?
Just going to sit here casually.
No. I am serious. Is it bad that I feel betrayed?
Uh, definitely not. Friends don't do that to their friend's exes. That's girl code.
Just going to sit here casually.
Nothing at all, you?
Oh, sounds like oodles of fun. I'm watching Pretty Little Liars. This shit is so suspenseful.
Just going to sit here casually.
It is almost as bad as like a sad Zoey. Me-M-Megan and Jace kissed.
No, it's worse. Wait, are you fucking kidding me?
Just going to sit here casually.
Whuddup, Dalton?
Just going to sit here casually.
Opposite of yes. I feel like someone ripped out my heart.
Sad Erin is the worst. What happened?
Just going to sit here casually.
Love me?
Why of course, bb. Are you okay?
charlierosss replied to your post: Just going to sit here casually.
Oh Zoey, just got back!
Heeey you! Nice of you to come back around. How was your vacation?
Just going to sit here casually.
The talk | Zoey&Jace
Ever since Jace had returned to town after a long vacation, Zoey had felt her anxiety increasing dramatically. It was with good reason, granted all that had happened while he was gone and how she had, admittedly, wronged him, but she still didn't appreciate how guilty she'd been feeling lately. It was karma, to say the least, but it certainly wasn't a feeling the blonde particularly enjoyed. Thankfully, Jace had confronted her about the two speaking, and while the thought frightened her entirely, the thought of the two being able to, possibly, squash the issue altogether far outweighed the thought of their conversation turning unfortunate. After getting ready in an attempt to make herself presentable and slipping on a pair of flip flops, Zoey embarked on her journey to the pier. It wasn't far from her house, as far as distance was concerned, but her mind was overcompensating with that. It was working in overdrive, analyzing each possibility and all that could come of the situation. So much for not being nervous.
When her feet hit the beach, her heart seemed to race faster than it had prior. Now she was close to being faced with her faults and poor decisions head on, something she hadn't been accustomed to. Generally, she'd run away from her problems at full speed, unable to fathom the thought of being held responsible for selfish choices she had made. But it was only fair to Jace, since she'd developed some form of attachment to him, that she admit to what she'd done in his absence. He did deserve that, after all, no matter how much it would pain Zoey to voice the words aloud. Finally, she arrive at the pier, as she forced herself to take the fateful journey towards the end. Any other time, she would be delighted to visit Mahom Bay, to bask in the beauty of the ocean and indulge in the privacy of having the pier alone at night, but she knew that this was hardly going to be a fun endeavor for her. Now, the pier seemed endless, the edge of it appearing to move further away with each step she took. This was hardly true, however, since she finally noted the silhouette of a boy standing alongside the edge, facing opposite of her. Zoey was certain it was Jace, once she'd noted the unmistakable head of curls atop his head. "Uhm, hey," the blonde mustered up the courage to say, moving over to him as she took her thumb nail between her teeth sheepishly, a habit she'd partaken in only when she was feeling incredibly nervous.
You haven't done anything new. We just need to talk, okay. Just text me or meet me somewhere. I don't care.
Alright. I'll meet you down by the pier, then?
We need to talk.
Oh, God. What did I do now?
I won't give up | Zoey&Lucas
This was the first time Lucas had gone into Zoey's room, in fact this was the first time he'd been on the second floor altogether. He was a little curious to where Kaylee was but he knew there were more important measures that needed to be covered and although that was eating away at his gut, he was happy. His arms missed the way they wrapped around Zoey so comfortably and even if she was upset, she was happy to see him too. Fortunately for him. "Happy birthday," he allowed himself a quick kiss on her forehead before drawing back with a contented smile. He could wasn't sure if it was alright to kiss her before settling anything so he decided he would wait a bit, there wasn't any rush into whatever she wanted to talk about. "I'm pretty sure you and the rest of Mahom Bay rock the large houses," he wasn't even exaggerating. As he followed her up the stairs minutes before relaxing on her bed, he took a few seconds to admire the large yet homey affect it had on him. Pictures and fancy ornaments delicately placed throughout the household, he wondered what her parents were like. She'd yet to meet them, "Will they mind that we're up here?" he chuckled a bit at his own question figuring he's asked that with every girl he's ever been alone despite their innocent actions and intentions alike. Lucas had a knack for ruining everything by meeting parents, he was so charismatic and charming when it came to people but once running into any parental figure, he was game over. Lucas assumed it was because of his own history with his parents, who'd witnessed their perfect son drown himself in mistakes constantly and consistently. His dad had given him the house and an account with money he could only dream of attaining just as long as he didn't come back or interfere with his mother or him and his new girlfriend. They'd come to Mahom and dipped to wherever new rich couples went. He coughed a bit before looking around her room. It screamed girl, obviously, make-up laid about and clothes sprawled around messily but in a neat fashion if that even made sense.
"I'm glad that you asked me to come over," he sighed acknowledging the way her bed was heavenly soft. His bed was about the same size but he had mounted a pile of clean shirts at the foot for Foxy to nap on when he wasn't with Adrianna kissing up to the only feminine thing in his home. He also enjoyed how the four walls encased them in her scent, in a less creepy fashion he inhaled gracious to the way his heart settled into a calm beat. He wasn't necessarily afraid to confront anything anymore, not like he'd been before. Camila and Jordan had talked him into honesty policies, that was what was the most important thing right then and he had to remember that. Lucas was a good guy. He never hurt people he truly cared for unless it was necessary, such as Camila's feelings. He was selfish and couldn't let her go or return her feelings at the same time, but that didn't make him a bad guy. He didn't go around sleeping with girls or beating up smaller kids.. he would've beaten up Jordan a long time ago if that was what he was into. But he wasn't.. so in a way, he expected Zoey to listen. Listen and then debate on trusting his words, his truthful explanation. He admired the freckles crossed over the bridge of her nose and shut his eyes for a second. "So..." he sighed, relieved of the weighing worry that'd been on his shoulders since the night before, "I just want you to know that you can trust me alright? I mean i have the track record to back me up and i know i have a lot of female friends but it's only because i don't get along with guys really well... well except Jordan. But he's practically my lover," he paused to playfully nudge her with his elbow. Even though they were on a serious, he could breathe and that was what still held him together. He wasn't sure if he'd be able to keep up with her if she wasn't as forgiving as he'd hoped her to be, "I really like you Zoe and what happened yesterday was.." he thought carefully for the right words to spare Adrianna and still come off as honest, "an accident. It meant nothing to me or her." He glanced down guiltily, he didn't act on the kiss but at the same time he was still apart of it. The guilt from that was enough to worry him.
At the sound of him wishing her a happy birthday, she instantly beamed. Zoey had heard the words from numerous people the same day, but somehow she needed Lucas to say them to help cure the continual disappointments that had occurred throughout the day. The pain from the letdowns still stung, though they were faint with his arrival. Sure, the absence of her father on one of the few birthdays she spent in Mahom proved difficult, but having the comfort of her friends, specifically Lucas, made things a bit more manageable. Besides, the drama was unfortunate, but certainly not of life changing magnitude. Hurt was compulsory in such situations, but Zoey was confident in the fact that Jace's return and Adrianna's silly, yet completely inappropriate, mistake wouldn't cost them what the two had worked for. They were just bumps in the road, she'd convinced herself, desperately trying to avoid dwelling on the situation, since that generally just amplified the circumstances beyond necessary. At Lucas's inquiry, she couldn't help but allow a burst of giggles to pry their way from her lips. It wasn't his fault, of course, but the thought of her father actually paying the slightest bit of attention to her was hilarious. Granted, he wasn't all bad, and he did the best that he could considering his occupation, but the idea that he may actually be bothered by Zoey inviting company over was hilarious. "We're fine, babe," she allowed herself to confirm, between the fits of giggles.
"Besides, it isn't like we're doing anything we shouldn't be, right?" she noted, raising an eyebrow suggestively in his direction. Holding the gaze for a few moments, she was unable to keep from allowing an all encompassing grin to take over her face. "Just kidding," she added, watching as the look of concern immediately left his face. "Just chill out! No one's home anyway," she noted, scooting back on her bed, to allow herself room to cross her legs and get completely comfortable. Her nerves had subsided almost entirely at this point, which was due mostly to the fact that she knew she had control in this situation. Zoey was going to forgive Lucas, that was a given, but the mere thought that she actually had the upper hand in this leg of their blossoming relationship acted as a comfort blanket for her, though she knew she shouldn't feel that way. After all, he was sitting aside her, practically apologizing profusely for something that wasn't his fault. He had assured her that he was trustworthy innumerable times. A part of the blonde was just unsure of taking that gigantic leap at this point, though. It was as if she'd been able to dip her toes in, but couldn't quite will herself to jump in head first just yet. "Shhh," she whispered, bringing a delicate finger up to his lips in an attempt to silence him. "It's alright, okay?" she said genuinely, nodding her head in affirmation. In all honesty, she hadn't even asked him out to her house to lecture him or demand an apology. Sure, she wanted to talk about a few things, but it was nothing she had anticipated he would feel so guilty over. Seeing the slightest bit of sadness within his eyes, though it truly mirrored her own, made her feel an overwhelming bought of guilt herself, though she couldn't quite place her finger on why. "I just don't trust her now," she confessed, honestly. After the brunette had broken her trust, it seemed irreparable right now. Sure, she seemed to feel sorry for her actions, but she'd never attempted to make amends with Zoey for it, so she wasn't going to bother. "I still like you, Luke. Duh," she expressed, allowing a slight smile to reappear across her pink lips. "Just don't let it happen again, yeah?" the blonde teased halfheartedly. In that moment, she wasn't sure how she was going to feel alright with Adrianna living across the hall from Lucas ever again, but looking into his beautiful, brown eyes, she knew she was destined to make an effort.
