listening to the announcers hooting and hollering about how the mystics won because of their tenacity, grit, determination, togetherness, etc. just pissed me off. like no, that's not why they won. they won because dallas fucking gave up in that last quarter. defense was out the window. rebounding nowhere to be found. passing was atrocious. shots were rushed.

it's like everything they were doing right and was keeping them in a steady lead was completely erased from all their brain's.

paige and azzi are honestly really mature when it comes to their relationship, especially for their age. one of my biggest pet peeves is how tv shows, movies, and social media keep romanticizing unhealthy relationships like that’s what love is supposed to look like. if there’s no jealousy, toxicity, or constant drama, people act like something’s wrong. then those same expectations get projected onto real couples. it’s sad because a lot of people end up thinking that’s normal when healthy relationships are usually built on trust, communication, and giving each other room to still be their own person. that’s why i don’t get all the conspiracy theories every time paige and azzi aren’t glued to each other’s side. relationships take work, but they shouldn’t have to be a performance to convince strangers they’re real.
