The woman stood before Thanatos, smiling softly and approaching Thanatos.

“Sorry I was gone, my father kept me busy, love.”

Thanatos immediately ran to hug her. It had been so long. He wrapped her up tight and didn't ever want to let go.

"I missed you so much."

She smiled softly, wrapping her arms around Thanatos and pulling him closer to her, kissing his forehead softly.

“I missed you too my love, and again, I’m sorry for leaving so long..”

"It's okay. I'm glad you're back now."

He smiles at the forehead kiss. Who didn't love a forehead kiss?

She smiled constantly, a quiet hum escaping her.

“How are our girls..? I’m sorry I left you with them. It was so very painful to do…”

"They're good, I kept them as happy as I could while you were gone. Come, let's go check on them!"

She smiled gently, folding her hands together in front of her before nodding.

“I’d love to care for my beautiful daughters once again. Let’s go see them then.”

She replied softly, walking past Thanatos and already making her way to their room.

“It’s been a while, hm?”

Thanatos rushes to her as soon as she comes through the door, Irene in his arms, the other twin napping in the play pin.

"Where do you keep going? You worry me sick, do you know that? You need to rest, you just gave birth!"

“I’m sorry my love..” She began softly, walking over to Thanatos. “I’ve just been visiting some family… I can never seem to just rest as of late…”

She replied softly. She never meant to truly worry him. Then again she could never simply rest either. She always has to be doing something.

"It's okay. Just maybe let me know before you go, yeah?"

He rocks the child, listening.

"What do you mean you cannot rest? Why?"

“Of course, I’ll start doing that. I’ll send a quick message okay?”

She smiled softly, chuckling slightly. She then paused briefly, giving a small sigh.

“If I tried to I probably could, but it’s just… the thought of resting is so weird. I can’t just simply lay down for several hours and rest. I feel like I need to be doing something.”

“Auntie Hestia!!”

Makaria walks over holding two infants. One of which is albino and the other having her melanin. Unfortunately, her hands are full, but she’d be waving if they weren’t.

" oh, makaria! it's been far too long since—" hestia whisks around, and her eyes are immediately set on the babies in makaria's arms.

the bowl she was holding falls to the ground with a gentle 'thud', and she stares in shock. her eyes are wide with fascination and adoration, but she makes no effort to move.

"... oh. my. stars. makaria... you had TWINS?!"

Makaria laughs, nodding as she approaches Hestia.

“Yeah! I thought I’d only be having one, but imagine my suprise when I visited Apollo and he told me there’d be two.”

She walks over, showing Hestia the infants.

“Would you like to hold one of them? They’re both girls, the oldest is named Irene and our youngest is Ismene.”

hestia immediately speed-walks over to her, hands making their way to makaria's cheeks. "oh honey, they're so beautiful. you're such a good mother already." hestia presses a kiss to her forehead.

she brings her attention back to the little ones, and she brings a hand to her heart. "may I? Is that alright with you?"

She smiled softly as Hestia spoke, she felt proud. “Thank you, Hestia..” She adjusted the twins in her arms.

“Of course you can! I don’t mind it. Hell even Hermes held one of them.” She replied, looking down at the twins. “Pick which you want to hold, from what I’ve seen Ismene doesn’t seem to mind, but I haven’t seen how Irene reacts yet.”

His voice was exhausted, he could not figure out what was wrong with this baby. He had already done everything he could think of. But now the baby is refusing the bottle, too.

"Do you have any idea why she's upset? I've already changed her, bathed her, gave her snuggles, she won't take this bottle. I'm pretty sure it's feeding time, no? I can't figure out what's wrong with her."

“Hm..?”

Makaria gave a soft hum as she turned to look at Thanatos. She then walked over to try and assist him with their daughter.

“Here I’ll see if I can you help any..” She took the bottle carefully. Though as she grabbed it she stopped immediately. “Thanatos…?” She began, looking at the taller male.

“You made sure to warm it up…right..?”

"Uh... no... what, they're not able to drink it cold? I like my milk cold."

Thanatos adjusts the baby in his arms, feeling slightly defensive. But he knew in his heart that it was his own mistake.

“They’re supposed to drink warm milk dear…” She replied softly, moving to go heat the milk up now. She didn’t have to heat it up long, making sure to let some drip one her wrist to check the temperature.

“Okay… that should be good now.” She offered the bottle back to Thanatos. “Now try to offer it to our daughter...”

“Oh! And when you hear it up it should be warm, not hot. If it’s hot you might burn her…” she warned.

"Makaria."

Oh my she is just adorable. What is her name?

“Yeah! Two!” Makaria smiled, revealing her second daughter.

One was Albino (the more recently revealed one) and the other had melanin. Both twins however were basically mini copies of Thanatos.

“The oldest is Irene, she’s the albino one. And Ismene is the youngest!”

She spoke, showing her daughters off to Hermes.

*he is smiling softly at the babies, afraid to get too close or touch them.*

They are perfect. Amazing name choices

“Thank you! You know you don’t have to stand so far back-”

She spoke softly, looking at Hermes.

I.. don’t know if I can be close to kids I haven’t tried what if I hurt it by accident? Or what if it hates me or what if-

She’s silent, listening to him in silence.

“Hermes, These are infants. I can already tell you that they won’t be hating you. Whatever you do theyll have forgotten by the time they can walk. Besides, you’re a likable person. Why else would I come to you with my kids so early on?”

She then pauses briefly before continuing.

“Plus I doubt you’d harm them, you seem to be incredibly careful.”

I suppose..

*he fidgets for a moment before coming closer to look at the infants. They were both adorable and looked a lot like two baby female Thanatos’ but he could see the Makaria in them.*

Maybe I don’t mind kids that much. These ones seem pretty okay

“I’m glad you think so! Want to hold one?”

She offers Ismene to Hermes, smiling softly at the younger god.

I- uh- how do I hold it..?

*he picks it up from under the arms, holding it in front of himself*

“Ah!- Hermes no! You gotta support the head!”

She quickly moves to place her hand on the back of the infants head, keeping it up.

“You gotta cradle her, or hold her against your chest, she can’t support her head on her own yet..”

While she did move quickly her movements were careful. She wasn’t human, definitely not. Her skin was grey and her sclera was black, contrasting heavily against her bright blue eyes. Her hair was a blueish grey with the underside being a blue similar to her eye color. Along with that she had two large horns and vine markings across her chest.

The Styx?… i just got shot…

“What!? Shot!? By who?”

She examined Atticus, it was weird because she saw no arrows. And guns weren’t something she commonly dealt with.

“Do you need help??”
