This is my main OC and I don’t think I'll ever get over being insecure about this oc x canon 🥲
His name is Duran (also spelled Duràn), he's my boy :>
He's a mechanic and also a musician; he's a sweetheart but kind of a people-pleaser. Definitely didn't know the Captain was such a softie.
His eyes were "bleached" pink from an early childhood illness. Also he's chubby for their species and gives the galaxy's best hugs 💖

This one was a nice practice with the wrinkles on his clothes and to practice more cartoony design since i did a quick study in my sketchbook to understand the construction of the character, it was a nice break from the humans i always draw!
I really like the contrast between him and Gantu, the white uniform and the black uniform, Gantu being more fit and Duran being chubby, Gantu skin being some grayish desaturated blue with Duran's more vibrant reds! Very soulmates if you asked me!
You have a nice art, I like that is in the style of the movie, especially with the colored line art in some areas!

Anyways here is my beloved Francie </3 she does kinda only have one rendered artwork so uhhh… I’m working more on that!!
She’s a little dysmorphic of her face and usually wears a mask unless it’s around close people. Her whole lore is being a person who goes by the “I’ll do it myself” mindset because no one else can do what she has in her mind lol O-O
Some trivia is that she’s a super funky bird lover and exerts a lot of black cat energy ehekhkdhkskh her favourite food is salmon cuz something about fried salmon and fish sauce is lowk peak

OH!! She’s also heavily based off Kuchisake-Onna because the seals on her face hide her sliced up face, so if they get removed the illusion is also removed lolz
Her mom in canon is also an Kuchisake-equivalent entity, which is kinda cool
I am into a lot of horror stuff so that might’ve prolly influenced my ocs and persona lolz T-T

It seems my motor abilities lock in for your ask! I usually struggle in the line art but with your piece it was quite pleasant and quick! I usually don't put a lot of headwear in my ocs and your character was a nice exercise and a way for me to step out of my comfort zone thank you very much!
I really liked the fact some of her accessories are salmon theme! I love a girly with some whimsy!
I really like the texture factor you put in your art pieces! it sits nicely in the hair and in the clothes! Making it contrast with the face and also similar with watercolors!

Rebecca's story is inspired by 3 disney characters, however only one has an actual appearance! and the others? well you can gladly take a guess!
Rebecca will stay at twisted wonderland! (the world she was isekai to) she will have to pay a great price to do so, but she won't see the repercussions of staying!
Rebecca grew in the forest with her mother as her only family! there's no father involved because Agatha (that's her mothers name) chose to do an IVF!
Rebecca has a muscular body type! It's always funny to compared Jamil's and Rebecca's arms

5. Rebecca and Grimm have a very mother-son, big sister-baby brother relationship! And since Rebecca goes out of her way to care for him, this makes Grimm act very possessive about her time and attention! Even getting into childish fights with Jamil!

She's an OC from a long time back, a silly little yandere mary sue-type character who I've grown to love a lot, and her appearance and personality hasn't really evolved from 5 years ago... Personality-wise she's pretty much what you'd expect... cutesy and murderous for no apparent reason.... yea...

I really love this kind of marry-sue OC, growing up I would always see so many people treating creating this kind of character as if you just kick a puppy in front of them, but i always believed they have a very raw and honest charm! I even had my own mary-sue OC when i was like 8 and since then have been the blueprint form my other OC! It was a recolor of twilight from equestria girls HAHAHA but it has a special place in my heart! <3

This is where the art ends, the following is just going to be me screaming at the void (warning: mentions of self-loathing, doubt in worth, please take care of yourself )
Before I even began this blog I was filled with self doubt, because I never thought my art had a right to be exposed and to have an audience, in my mind i was seeing an incredible amount of errors, it didn't matter how small, that seemed to screamed at me and reminded me how little value anything that I do has, it didn't matter how much i try to make it better or studied anatomy, color theory, etc. For I was cursed and by being cursed my creations were something blasphemous that I was wrongfully continuing thinking that I could make it better that I could be an artist who was proud of their creations.
these very horrible thoughts followed me, even linking themselves to how popular my art was, of course i understand that doesn’t give or take any value towards the art that I made but it was difficult to remember that when your brain is just banging the walls of your head with thoughts of how I am horrible for wanting people to see my art and I am selfish for wishing more people saw my art because, how do I dare to demand for such a thing when I can’t produce anything of substance, of weight and value.
So I got afraid of publishing my art and making art for the blog, it came to the point that every time I even thought about publishing a piece I was working on I was hit by that same self doubt and how university consumed almost all my attention, it just demotivated me and made it worse.
I was debating if I should even post this text, it felt too personal but I decided to do it to regain some ownership of my blog, taking it away from all the bad thoughts by being honest about how I have been feeling, because it’s my blog and none else.
Not everything was bad while i was away because i have a stupid little Oc and a stupid little disney character to cheer me up, they always did ,believe it or not making and creating Rebecca helped me to understand that I wasn’t a woman and that I am attracted to them, drawing them will always bring me comfort I believe I could be a 100 years old and I would still draw them and I am slowly getting better with managing this self doubt, happy to announce that I have been in therapy for more than a year!
I will try my best to continue this obviously more healthy way of thinking and to show my art even if i dont think it is perfect, because it's mine and I had fun doing it and that’s the only thing it matters.
