Hi, I don't know if you would answer this but I read some of your fics around a year ago and I decided to reread it again because I remember that the writing was pretty good, and one of those is colors fly (tell us who to love and who to hate)
When I first read it I was like cool, akitoya angst. But rereading the fic again I found a major fact that changed my perspective: the apology scene.
Akito, after having his feelings taken away and promptly returned (out of his control), apologizes for breaking up with Toya and begs him to get back together. Toya, after accusing Akito for falling out of love for him because he almost killed himself, finding out that that was not the case (completely within his control), didn't. Same applies to the unity squad and wonderlands x showtime. At least, this was my personal interpretation of the fic (/not neg)
I wouldn't say that it's bad writing but I would be lying to not be curious about the thought process behind this resolution /gen. Because again, Akito was screwed over by things out of his control, and Toya unintentionally ruined his boyfriend/ex-boyfriend's social life with that accusation
Thank you for the ask!
The best way I can put it is that I write Akito apologizing because he did anything wrong, Akito apologized because that's something he would do.
The only ones really at fault are the Phantom Thieves. I wasn't really thinking of Toya being at fault because from his perspective his boyfriend just dumped him, and he naturally connects it to the most recent thing that happened. He's not really thinking through saying it out loud, and by the time he can think through his actions Futaba's explained the situation to him, at which point he defends Akito to the others, so in my mind he didn't really do anything unreasonable
Now obviously Akito didn't do anything unreasonable either, and no rational person would consider Akito at fault even with the context of the shadow
The problem is: Akito's not a rational person and consistently in canon will succeed at something and then find a reason to dwell on why he sucks (see: taking the blame for Kotaro cutting the power in the main story, Find A Way Out and Rekindle The Flame). Even in the break up scene he doesn't actually defend himself. It's just in-character for him to look at this situation and go "i don't how but I'm sure this is my fault" his cognition of himself is literally distorted.
Then in the actual reunion scene, my focus was the Akitoya so I didn't really want to go through everyone processing what the hell just happened. In the epilogue I did write that Tsukasa apologizing and that he's done nothing but apologize since they grasped what was going on.
It's easy for us as readers to understand what's going on because we have the full context but from the perspective of everyone else: Akito says he's not in love with Toya, Toya freaks out and says it's bc he told Akito he tried to kill himseld, Akito doesn't deny it, and Toya spends the next couple of days upset before suddenly turning around and insisting it's the fault of an urban legend which, even if they know who the Phantom Thieves are doesn't actually make sense that that's something they would do, since the public perception is they change the hearts of bad people. This is the Okumura arc, they're at their peak popularity, they're supposed to be the good guys, and then it turns out Toya was right, and then Akito passes out standing up because he. Hasn't slept.
That's actually a lot for them to process and unpack (even for the people who have SEKAI) and frankly I wasn't really interested in writing that. I was writing Yusuke and Akitoya angst.
So they processed it off-screen, and then Tsukasa apologizes on screen and the idea was that he's basically BEEN apologizing since they got the gist of it, and I felt that was enough to imply that everyone else has been apologizing too. Well I don't think Arata apologized bc idk if he knows how to actually say the words "I'm sorry" but like, he never does that anyway.
There's a reason this fic takes place over such a short time frame: any longer to think about it and they'd know something was up, or someone who is Not a teenager would have pointed it out.
TL;DR: Akito isn't apologizing because he has to like morally, he's doing it because it's in-character for him to take all the blame in his own mind. Toya just reacted emotionally to getting dumped but didn't actually hold it against him so there was nothing to apologize for in my mind, Tsukasa apologized on screen for everyone bc the flow of the scene didn't really allow for it in the moment, and also they have no clue what the fuck just happened, And Arata's a dick.
Oh, that's an interesting thought process! Thanks for answering! Although it is a bit unsatisfying to not see Toya apologizing on screen and instead having Tsukasa referencing that it happened off screen, I understand that the fic is mostly an Akito-Yusuke psychoanalysis
THIS IS THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN
I’VE BEEN TRYING TO FIND THIS FOR SEVEN YEARS
DO YOU UNDERSTAND HOW HARD IT IS TO ?????
That last fatal scream tho
THE TERROR IN HIS SCREAM OH GOSH
i’m crying
I will always reblog this on the off chance some other poor soul has been searching for it
IT’S BACK
HOYL SHIT ITS B A CK
IT’S BACK?? ON MY DASH?
re-blogging again xD
what was that we were just saying about still having posts circulating from ridiculous numbers of years ago? 😂
I feel like it’s a duty to reblog such a natural treasure
All those accounts though….
Coroika fandom during 19-21 was so funny bc why did some people write vintage like he's the fucking spawn of satan
Been getting into coroika after 4 years and I was looking back at my old post and saw my elementalink au and thinking maybe I should remake it but without the association it had before
Cuz when I read my plot point again, there's really no reason why it can't be a standalone ngl it's literally just BoBoiBoy but coroika and written by a college student instead of a corpo studio
Muu's song is such a bop holy shit
heartwarming: loser chud tries to improve his chungus life with the power of kissing the homies
set the goals all reeeally low in hopes of hitting them all lol
Oh...
Q.03 What are your parents like?
Futa: They’re divorced so I don’t really remember my mum much. My dad is pathetic and old-fashioned.
Born in 1999, in Osaka city, Osaka prefecture. Futa Kajiyama is a student at a university in Tokyo, living on his own.
Oh.
Q.05 What jobs do your family members have?
Futa: My dad’s a civil servant. No idea what my mum’s doing. Older sister is a beautician.
Q.19 Are you happy with your gender?
Futa: Well, relatively speaking. There’s a kind of expectation that if you’re a man you have to work though, which is a pain.
Oh; so his dad kicked him out at eighteen to go live on his own because he's a man and he needs to learn how to support and provide for himself. Gotcha. Nice follow through and use of foreshadowing with that one. Kind of leaves it to the audience to piece together by looking at past statements. Though if one's paying attention it's quite easy to grasp given how consistently it's hammered in albeit still remaining subtle.
I really like how Yuno's case and his subtly handle the idea of their home lives and familial relationships. Yuno very consistently advocating in the defense of her family and friends such as with these statements,
Q.07 Tell us your family structure.
Yuno: Grandpa, grandma, mum, me, younger brother←Yura.
Going into detail on everyone within her family with a clear seniority order. Starting with her grandparents then going down. But a slight care and sense of pride she shows towards her younger sibling who she just has to give the name of.
Q.09 What do you think of your family?
Yuno: I like them.
This one is self-explanatory but it went ignored most of the trials to blame all of her circumstances and choices on them to some degree anyway. Leads into the next one well though,
Q.19 Who do you want to see right now?
Yuno: Hmm. My family, I guess.
Admitting to missing her entire family not just a specific member of it showing that they were a source of comfort and support for her.
How she shuts down questions about her father but isn't ashamed to say she's never known him.
Q.05 What is your father like?
Yuno: He’s not been around for as long as I can remember so I don’t know!
If anything she seems more annoyed at the idea that most of society will harp on that aspect of her life and consider it an issue in regards to her upbringing or emotional development.
Q.06 What do you think of your father?
Yuno: Didn’t you ask about my family structure before? I don’t have one, remember.
But honestly looking back it just comes off as her being annoyed at being asked something that doesn't apply to her. So maybe she was just a bit peeved it was so clearly a Haruka centered question. Which might have fueled her annoyance at Haruka and Mu. Something that makes sense given she was the one who stated Milgram was just kind of like a popularity contest.
Then to make it even clearer for those who weren't catching the hints prior this trial with her zero fucks to give she just lays it out there.
Q.02 What do you think about your family?
Yuno: I love them. But having people think that I had familial problems because of my actions is kinda tiring.
Like she just went, "Listening to you slander the people closest to me because of things I choose to do was deeply upsetting to the point of exhaustion." Which honestly mood meanwhile Futa's report is just here like yeah he lived alone by himself as a college student that's what men are supposed to do what is that weird. He's a grown man why would he still be living with his family?
Like putting their "Who do you want to see right now?" questions back to back are so depresssing. Look at this shit-
Q.11 Who do you want to see right now?
Futa: No idea. Maybe my mum.
Q.19 Who do you want to see right now?
Yuno: Hmm. My family, I guess.
Fuuta Kajiyama's T3 and 2020s' internet fanbase (No, this is not a character analysis, just a PSA)
Welp The Appare March is out and Fuuta turned out to be the problematic fave I expected him to be (everyone in this series is a problematic fave one way or another, it's in the literary nature of it to be)
I don't have much to say about Fuuta's character in general, my only concern are the people who were once his fans and switched up on t3 telling people who are still Fuuta fans shit like kys or something or even people who dislike Fuuta from the get go (valid tbh)
Idk if anyone will do it I haven't touched the fandom in a while, but considering that now in the 2020s, it's more important to be more "correct" (like saying that Fuuta is problematic like it isn't obvious and if you don't stop liking him then you are also problematic by association) than having discussion about the things we enjoy.
I'm just saying canceling people for still liking Fuuta is just irony at its peak, just blatantly throwing the cautionary tale of the consequences of cancel culture and the internet out the darn window
Woobifying him and his murder also does his social commentary a disservice, but 2020s internet often forget what nuance is
I'm just saying that enacting cancel culture and callout posts over the pettiest shit like "liking the wrong characters" is just adding irony to MILGRAM because Fuuta "cancel culture and professional doxxer" Kajiyama is right there
i like the phrases "it's not for me," "it's not my thing," and "i'm not the target audience" because they're the most concise way to express "this thing that you enjoy has merits but idgaf about it" without being aggressive

Hi 👋, My name is Mohammad, and I’m reaching out in a moment of desperate need. I’m a father of three young children living in Gaza, and we are caught in the midst of a catastrophic war. Our home is no longer a safe haven, and the future here seems increasingly uncertain. 💔
I’ve launched a fundraising campaign with the goal of raising $40,000 to relocate my family to a safer place where my children can grow up in peace and have a chance at a brighter future. 🕊️🇵🇸
Unfortunately, my previous fundraising efforts were abruptly halted when my account was terminated without explanation. However, I remain determined to keep fighting for my family’s safety and well-being. 🫶
If you could take a moment to read our story, consider donating, or simply share our campaign with others, it would make an incredible difference. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to safety and a new beginning. 🙏
