"The beau bond was an groundbreaking experience for me just because in modern society, especially amongst teens, being open with your brothers is considered soft or as the youth say fruity. I believe that my perspective has changed because when I trusted and therein bonded with other young men, I realized that its ok to be open. Going through the campfire experience, what us Beaus shared about our fathers helped us learn that other people are probably going through the same things as you and are willing to help. I think if I only got one thing out of the bonding trip was that together we are stronger and the old bible verse rang true,"as iron sharpens iron so does man sharpens man."
