Kyawti's Birthday
August 20, 2024. It's my birthday, and robi surprised me with flowers and breakfast (which he cooked himself). He prepared all my favorite food! He knew very well how much I wanted a big breakfast every birthday. After we ate, we then got ready to go on a quick trip for Pampanga for lunch. We made reservations at this gorgeous restaurant: Sage by Ardesia where the food and ambiance were both exquisite!
After lunch, we dropped by starbies to buy coffee before heading home. We actually had to go home a bit early because he had a scheduled training from 2pm-7pm. But regardless, I still had the best time with him.
Looking forward to more birthday celebrations with Robi. I would like to use this post to thank you for making my birthday special and for making me feel loved in every way possible.
The Apricity
August 10, 2024. Celebrated my birthday a week early with our closest friends. Robi rented this villa in DRT, Bulacan for my birthday celeb. A lot happened before we even reach our destination. I accidentally sayad robi's car three times, and broke his back tire. But robi being the good and sweet guy that he is, didn't get mad, nor scolded me for what happened, instead, he comforted me and hugged me saying that it's okay, and it's not my fault.
We then had lunch, then robi together with one of our friends, took robi's car to the vulcanizing shop to have his tire fixed. After that, we headed na to our villa. The trip going there is stressful (because the road is steep and muddy) but the view at our villa is breathtaking, its definitely worth the trip.
I'm very lucky to have a boyfriend like robi who might look tough and makulit on the outside but really is super gentle, sweet and understanding who spoils me and gives me the "princess" treatment I deserve.
The reality of taking photos with your partner lol.
Short summary of our Dumaguete-Siquijor trip.
(Longer video version is uploaded in our tiktok: @Fruitloopscoco)
Dumaquijor
August 02, 2024. Went on a four-day trip to Dumaguete and Siquijor with Krizzy and Gene! Its been a month but I'm still on vacay-high.
We flew to Dumaguete and arrived there a bit past dinner time. We checked in at the hotel, had dinner then walked along the boulevard. We went to buy ice cream, fruit teas and accessories! Its nice how (almost) everything is walking-distance from our hotel.
The next morning, we have to wake up super early to catch the ferry to Siquijor. We rented this multi-cab to take us to our hotel in Siquijor and tour us around the island. We first went to this cliff, then went to two (2) falls where we did swings and robi did backflips (yes nagfreak out nanaman ako, as a mom lol), balete tree where there's a fish spa, then an underground river/cave. I'm still super amazed how we managed to do everything in one whole day (video coming up after this post). W e then head back to our hotel, had dinner then went out again to visit this cute and cozy bar which Robi and I found during our night time walk.
Next morning, we woke up super early again to catch the ferry naman going back to Dumaguete. Upon arrival in Dumaguete, we checked in muna sa hotel then went out again to go to Valencia, we visited their sunday fair in front of Valencia Municipal hall and had breakfast there. We had lechon for breakfast! Yes, LECHON! Dito ko rin natikman yung one of the best strawberry croissant. After breakfast we walked to Forrest Camp (na akala namin malapit lang, but nahhh). Forrest camp is a resort build around the falls and river, the place is super nice and the water is super cold! After forrest camp, we had lunch at a restaurant located at the top of a mountain, we had to take two separate tricycles kasi hindi kami kaya ng isa lang, hirap na hirap yung trike sa pag-akyat tbh. The food was fine, but the view, omg, soo nice. After lunch we headed back to our hotel na to freshen up and get ready for dinner naman. We went to this seafood resto and everything was so nice and affordable. After dinner we visited this cute cafe that serves one of the best coffees i've ever had. I was lowkey feeling tired na by this time since wala pa kaming proper rest but laban lang!
The next morning we went to Sansrival for breakfast before heading to the airport for our flight back to Manila!
Baha-chronicles. We were stuck at home for four days due to the flood brought by the typhoon. Being together in one house for 24 hours for 4/5 straight days really tested our relationship, lol and OA. But really, its quite a big adjustment for both of us since we don't get to spend much time together since we're LDR most of the time. Nako, I tell you, dito na lumabas yung mga annoying habits ng isa't isa, walang araw na hindi kami nag-kakainisan due to these annoying habits but nothing we can't solve or fix right away.
I'm no relationship expert obvi but what I learned is that the key to a peaceful, happy relatiosnhip (lalo na for those living together for the first time) is to learn to observe, communicate, adjust, compromise and always choose eachother. Observe your partner's actions and reactions (without judgement). This will help you understand why they act or react the way they do. Then you have to communicate. Be honest and tell your partner what ticks you off, what you like and don't like, and listen din to what they have to say. Listen to undersand so you can adjust and come up with a compromise that is fair and beneficial for the both of you. And lastly, choose each other all the time, over your anger, over your pride, choose them, flaws and annoying habits and all.
No relationship is perfect, your partner is not perfect, but what makes everything perfect and worthwhile is the love you have to give to each other. No matter how many fights or tampuhan you get into, try to find your way back to each other and remember what's really important. Never mind your differences, afterall, opposites do attract, right?
Tagayatay
July 20, 2024. We went on a weekend trip to Tagaytay with my cousins! We rented this airbnb in Tagaytay, had the most wonderful time exploring (eating) in these cute-ass, fancy restaurants. We need more weekends like this!
Weekends with friends
Spent the next two weekends meeting friends from highshcool, college and work!
First met up with two of my college roomies! Went to Katipunan to have miryenda with my friends who I went with in Singapore last May.
Mid-week, we met up with my friends from High school in Bulacan for dinner (Korean bbq again and again lol)
Next weekend, we met up with my friend from my previous work. We went to Vertis North to have dinner with her, her baby and sister. We had so much fun catching up with each other since ang tagal na since we last saw each other. Its also Robi's first time meeting them. Wish I could upload our photos here but due to privacy reasons, I can't. But regardless, we had the best time catching up!
First trip together after six months! A core memory trip indeed.
