I just found out my grandpa on my mom’s side of the family held onto birthday cards forever. My mom did as well, and so do I. My grandma isn’t all sentimental like that.. neither is my dad. I wonder if being overly sentimental about that sort of stuff is a learned behavior something. Or are those emotions that just occur regardless? Either way, when my mom passed away I found a shoe box full of birthday cards I received as a child
