Another day of breakfast at my desk
Rushed notes and rough drafts before I go off to work
Take A Chance On Me by ABBA 🎧
2 February 2021 | The final term of my master’s program has finally arrived. No idea if I’m doing anything *academic* afterwards right now. For now I’m just counting down the days until I find out where my husband’s residency placement will take us for the next three years. Adult existence is still such an enigma to me.
A gloomy, rainy Monday. I am trying to tick off as much of my to-do list as possible before the end of the week… replying to all the emails, cleaning and tidying all the under-loved parts of the flat, wrapping gifts and posting cards. I also want to get through some of my unfinished books – currently enjoying Burn It Down! Feminist Manifestos for the Revolution, ed. Breanne Fahs, from the Verso bookclub.
04.01.20// first day in a new position! My term doesn’t start until next week but I’m starting a student editing position with a law journal today! I’m so excited to get started in a job that fits within my areas of interest and study!
I’m also finally getting my desk set up together! One step closer to loving my productive space!

today’s set up.
it’s drizzling out but I’ve got my tea so all’s well. also. peep my messy in class notes.
!!!and the new mug I bought myself!!! I love it so much, it says “love is love is love is love” around the rim :))))
16/10/2020 | I have so much work to do and I have a presentation this afternoon that I'm only halfway through making so I got up at 6am and I feel like shit
throwback to the times (autumn 💕) when proper sunlight existed 🌇
04.07.2019; today it was such an administrative day, but at least it's now over. i renewed my id, obtained a digital signature, sent a package, and inscribed myself to a test. am i the only one who deeply despises bureaucracy and the obligations of adulthood?
this afternoon is study time.
cool its may. that’s cool. it SHOULD be february but that’s cool.
me, procrastinating: haha it’s okay I work best under pressure! :)
me, working under pressure:
early day off means more cafe study sessions 💫
Thinkin’ about how as a kid I was afraid to sleep alone in my room bc I thought a ghost lived in my closet so every night I’d wake up and move into my parents room to sleep on the itchy wool rug on the floor. It was a bit under their bed and I wanted to lie on it perfectly so I’d also be a bit under the bed.
But I Also loved to eat ice cubes so while I was up in the dead of the night anyway I’d go grab an ice cube from the freezer.
And then I’d sneak into their room and lie down and start crunching on my ice cube, and without fail my dad would wake up and be like “are you REALLY eating ICE in here at 3 AM , AGAIN”
Then I’d swallow the whole ice cube really fast.
Anyway any time I think I’m ready for kids I think about losing sleep every night because there’s an 80 pound sentient creature halfway under my bed just. Eating ice
