December 18th and I’m still here guess I survived.
We’re still here for now…
From @whiskersnpurrs: “The purple blanket works its magic yet again 😍 . The black in Sol’s ear is an ID tattoo. It’s darker than usual because it scabbed over. It will be less obvious once it heals 🐱” #catsofinstagram [source: https://ift.tt/2EA81rd ]
This is K9 Officer Gabo. On December 11th, he was shot four times during a standoff. Today, he left the hospital.
Being cold is better than being hot because you can stack up as many layers as you want. If your hot, there’s a point where you can’t strip down anymore.

Whats the oldest sword that has survived to this day?
That’s kind of a fascinating question, and the answer really boils down to what you can consider a sword. Ewart Oakeshott believed that the sword saw its genesis in Crete or Celtic Britain around 1500-1100 BC, however there is a pocket of artifacts that would disagree with this assertion.
A collection of nine “swords” were found in 1996 at Arslan Tepe in East Anatolia in Turkey.
The longest one is only 62 cm/24 in. in length, so it really straddles the line between sword and dagger, however I am inclined to say it should be called a sword.
What’s really interesting is that these swords are old. They date to about 3000 BC, well before most consider swords to have been around.
They seem to be a singularity, and there is no other archaeological evidence of anything like them, but just because we haven’t found it doesn’t mean it isn’t out there, so it really is possible that swords were beginning to become popular that far back. Hopefully, time will tell.
