Albus has just told him about the snippet of conversation he overheard that morning. He still has that mischievous smile on his face and, seeing that Scorpius is yawning and rubbing his eyes, he approaches him from behind and wraps his arms around his waist. “I’ve got an idea,” he whispers against his neck.
He feels Scorpius smile as he leans back against him.
“Let’s hear it.”
“Let’s drive them mad.”

Since Hogwarts, Albus and Scorpius have drifted apart. But the couple times a year they see one another leads them to come together in quite a different way.
Scorpius and Albus go to Switzerland for their first holiday together. However, Harry and Draco are in the same hotel for their own secret romantic getaway, and chaos ensues.
Albus Potter knows that his job is nothing special. He drives the Knight Bus, a wild ride ready to transport any witch or wizard in need as long as it's after dark. The route rarely deviates, and the passengers are always the same: detached, exhausted, and just trying to avoid cranial damage. Albus is content with his life, for the most part. It is only every daybreak when he faces a crushing loneliness.
It is in late summer when an otherwise ordinary evening takes a turn, and the Knight Bus is summoned to a long-forgotten estate in Wiltshire. Someone called Scorpius Malfoy boards, and Albus can't help but feel a connection with him. Their lives, which had ran parallel for so long, have finally converged, and Albus is desperate to prolong the journey. But by the time Albus realizes that he's fallen for Scorpius, the Knight Bus has reached its last stop.

Albus is tired from the rejections at his job, so it might be time for a change. But he avoids the Wizard world and has never had the confidence to do more with his magical hobbies. Scorpius motivates him to go for it.
