A reverse bang bringing artists and authors together in a collaborative effort to celebrate the fandom Teen Wolf ship of Peter/Stiles. The 2018 event complete.
New mods, a few new rules, but the same awesome event from last year. We are so excited to be taking over from @14ksteterreversebang to bring this event back for another year! A huge, huge thank you to last years mods, @the-redcrate and @julibean19

I have had a great time interacting with so many of you in the Steter fandom! I'm sure y'all will be just as lovely to @lavender-lotion and @spookymiscreant as you were to me and Julie!
So in the first half of 2018, Julibean and I ran the 14k Steter Reverse Bang for the first time. Overall, it was a success. But, life happens. Julie won’t be able to mod, and I have a really heavy workload facing me in the first half of 2019.
That said: the 14K Steter Reverse Bang is looking for new mods.
There are some conditions with this event.
There have to be at least 2 mods working on this event the whole time it is in progress. Bangs have a lot that go into them behind the scenes—organizing, emailing, checkin in, finding pinch hitters, etc. It’s simply too much for one person to take on their shoulders alone.
Take time and really think about whether or not you have the patience, mental energy, and actual time to take on an event like this.
I want this event to happen again, and I want it to flourish with new participants and mods! But I want to make sure you know what is in store before you agree to take over.
The 14k Steter Reverse Bang took up almost 6 months of time, sign-ups to work reveals. If you want to keep the event happening around the same time as 2018, then decisions will need to be made within the next few weeks.
Once I hand over this event, the mods in charge will have permission to: change the dates to something that works better for them, change the requirements of the event (fic length and artwork), and change the name. It will become your event. I will be available for advice, but I will not be responsible for modly duties.
If no one steps up to take over for the first half of 2019 (or if there isn’t more than 1 person who steps up), I will retain the event and see what my work schedule looks like later in the year. Either I will run it myself (with help from some friends) or I will post another call for mods towards the summer. This does mean, however, that there is a good chance the reverse bang would overlap in some fashion with Steter Week (which is slated to happen in July 2019).

Each of you has added so much to the Steter community, and we have enjoyed helping you do that! To those of you who made a special point to send us uplifting and loving messages throughout the event, we appreciated that so incredibly much. It helped remind us, when things were getting stressful, that the mod work is worth it. Hopefully, you had a good experience with us. One almost as good as this scene of eye contact and heavy breathing between our favorite werewolf and a certain special human.

My undying gratitude to terminaltongues/@merlinthepoet who took on my artwork as a pinch hitter for @steterreversebang and wrote an impressive 16k epic feel fantasy. The worldbuilding in this tribal ‘verse is incredible, with a beautifully woven and tested pack bond between Peter and Stiles that really tugged at my heartstrings. I highly recommend giving this fic a read, especially if you love werewolf tropes and pack dynamics!

Stiles is slowly losing his soul to the nogitsune, tired after fighting it for more than six years. He is about to give up fighting when Scott gets bitten by a rogue alpha werewolf. As that is just unacceptable, Stiles sets out to figure out who thought it would be okay to try and take his best friend from him, and then rend them limb from limb.
It does not quite go the way he plans.

Here is the fic that I wrote for the @steterreversebang. My partner @squishysterek made the cover art above for the playlist she made which can be found on Youtube and Spotify.
It only took a few more feet of trodding through the underbrush to finally find his dog, and the closer he got, the calmer Peter felt. Otis was still barking, but now he was close enough to recognize that it didn’t sound like alarm. It sounded like something between ‘play!’ and 'squirrel!’
Peter realized he was probably spending too much time with only a dog for company.
“Otis! What is it?”
The dog was wagging his tail, guarding the roots of a tree, and as he got closer, Peter saw that it wasn’t actually the tree that got him hyped up, it was the shaggy ball of red fur nestled at the base.
“The hell…”
It was a small fox. At least it looked small, but Peter had no idea how big full grown foxes were. It looked small next to Otis.
Peter the human, Otis the dog and Red the fox for @udunie as part of @steterreversebang! Thank you for writing such a beautiful story around my art, and for prompting me to draw such a dramatic and challenging scene.
This is the Steter fic I’ve always dreamt of. It’s hilarious, incredibly touching, and so dramatic that I forgot how to breathe. Go get reading!
