hi im new to the fandom and im confused how bongbong came to be

hi there :D here’s a long post of bong bong’s history~

well it first appeared as a sketch done by mingyu:

he then hand sew a “prototype” which was a soft toy in the form of a key chain:

it became something they brought around with them on tour and they took plenty of pictures with bong bong :D

mingyu then designed a few more variations which were also made into real dolls:

it then became part of official goods sold at concerts:

each of the members also in a way designed their own version of bongbongs since many fans do ask them to draw them during fansigns:

the newest development for bongbong is mingyu redesigning them to fit each members’ characters and it was sold as deco stickers!
