Family photo! Audrey 3 (2014), our Stronghold bot progress (2016), and Mater (2013) all together today. Mater and Audrey have been good sports with aiding in drive practice before the next member of 1810 is made. A little more than three weeks until the next robot is revealed! #frc1810 #omgrobots
Friendly reminder that Top 25 FRC will be releasing the 2015 Game Hint during their show at 9 PM EST with a pre-show at 8:30 PM EST tomorrow (December 22nd).
It will be on the FRC Blog after the show as well, but that just ins't as fun.
Watch it at frctop25.com tomorrow!
We have 18 days left until our off-season event, Cowtown Throw Down! We couldn't be more excited, especially since if you're counting down days until holidays you know that ours is going to start on Halloween of all days this year! Held by Cerner and 1730 Team Driven we're excited to attend again to start off our 10th year!
Check out the site for it here: [x]
Who else has been/is going to an off-season event?
Official Facebook page of the FIRST Robotics Team Jaguar Robotics 1810 from Shawnee, Kansas.
We're now on Facebook! Go leave us a like!
Throwback Thursday to Greater KC Regionals! A great time where we placed 8th but seeded 5th!
1810 takes the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge! We're nominating our good friends, The Kuh-Nig-Its (1939), The Metal Mustangs (2410), and Up Next! (3528).
Dr. Woodie Flowers accepts the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge! Of course he does it with safety glasses on. [x]
And we’re back. 1st meeting of the year.
99.95% of what happens in robotics, expect I’m not seeing that empty Mountain Dew cans…
This year we already have three Kyles and two Codys, one of the Kyles is spelled Kyal and the Codys are both freshmen! And we did shaved ice our first meeting, ALS bucket challenge the second!
We've been nominated! Thanks to two of our Lee's Summit friends, 1730 Team Driven and 1987 The Broncobots! We ACCEPT your challenge and will be fulfilling it on Thursday when we have our next team meeting!
We can’t wait for school to start. We even get to go a day early for transition day when freshmen sign up for clubs and teams.
We did our share of this at our school last Monday for our Freshmen Orientation Day! It was super fun even though we had to have our robot only go on a gray tarp, so we just stole some from the other side of the gym to expand our space! Even though we had our difficulties and we couldn't shoot our competition ball, BUT we did have a giant beach ball that we used at a VBS Camp this summer at it! It was light enough to allow us to aim at the new freshmen, too!
Car Wash
If anyone lives in the Baton Rouge area, Panthrobotics will be holding a car wash tomorrow at the Ralphs Supermarket on Jones Creek. It will be free but we are asking for donations to go towards this years build season. Also we will be selling some suckers for a dollar right outside the store. If you can, please come support us and spread the word. Thank you :)
We've updated our blog! Updates are coming soon to our team site with new Social Media additions, and soon we hope to develop a Facebook page to go alongside our other accounts. Monday is Freshmen Orientation Day, so members returning will be attending for the Club Fair from 11:45 to 12:45 but please be at the robotics room at 11! The first meeting will be the 21st for returning members and September 4th will be our Freshmen Information night. We hope to be serving shaved ice at the first September game on the 5th.
We've also started a new source of fundraising! Through FIRST's E-Watt Saver light bulbs we are starting to fundraise with sales of separate bulbs and an organized spreadsheet to keep track of orders.
Our website's Current Events has been updated.
The Blue Alliance has a new Android App! [x]
The amount of excitement is too damn high.
Only 159 days left!
Not much is happening with 1810 this month, but when we do have something going on we'll make sure to post about it, especially on our Twitter account!! Follow us over on Twitter at @1810jagrobotics!
