Happy Halloween🎃
20 years ago today, the world was given a gift that still impacts many lives today. Lessons that can't be unlearned, jokes that make us laugh every time we hear them, laughs that echo through a whole room, and most importantly, we saw how love can bind us all together. 20 years ago, they were just 6 people who were given a pilot script, and they filmed it, hoping for at least one season. Little did they know, 10 years later, their series finale would be watched by 52.46 million viewers, making it the 4th most watched television series finale in US history. Though "Friends" may have aired 20 years ago, it still has all the value today that it had then, plus more...and that value continues to grow everyday. So today, if you find a spare moment, watch an episode of "Friends", and remember one of the most important lessons that this phenomenal show ever taught us...always be there for your friends, and they'll be there for you too<3 9/22/1994 - 9/22/2014
I have mixed thoughts on the Friends reunion on Jimmy Kimmel.
To be honest, I thought the whole skit was horribly written, and just awkward to watch - I was cringing most of the time. Surely they could have come up with something better than that.
However, despite the terrible writing, it was...
mental-gellers Honestly, I think that if they had a well written script, it wouldn't have been as funny and I don't think people would have liked it as much, because the lacking of the guys would have mattered a lot more. The show worked well because of the dynamic between all of the characters, and by trying to recreate something "real" from the show without the guys, I don't think people would have enjoyed it as much. I think the fact that the script was supposed to be bad, and that Jennifer was supposed to act pissed off is what made it funny and what made it still enjoyable without the guys. Don't get me wrong, I would have LOVED something with all 6 of them...but I think for what they were working with, this script worked better than something good! Just my opinion :)
I almost cried watching this
Ross: So... does it hurt?
Mr Green: What? the heart attack? or sitting here talking to you?
Want to watch something funny? Watch Joey speak French or fat Monica do a dance. In the mood for something sad? Watch Ross and Rachel break up or Phoebe give up the triplets. Want to experience true love? Listen to Chandler and Monica exchange wedding vows. Want to let out anger? Watch Ross cheat on Rachel... Want to see how to be a true friend? Just watch Friends.
