Hey.
Sorry for the long radio silence.
I’ve been sick the past week and the resulting unproductivity fucks with my mental health. Plus I did fall back into Borderlands and am torn between two fandoms at the moment.
I’ll sort some irl things out this week and maybe get back into roleplaying by the end of the week. Because I really miss this. But I tend to make things unnecessarily complicated for myself. So fuck me I guess.

“See ya.” Harvey replied briefly with a nod. He sat for a moment longer, finishing his coffee, before he got up and walked outside.
Shortly after he had parked his car near the cafe he had been given the address for, Harvey walked inside the building, carrying his duffle bag. He glanced around, trying to find Jonathan and actually smiled when he saw him.
Jonnys eyes lit up when he saw the other and he smiled widely, waving him over. “Hey! You made it!” his first reaction was to move and hug the other but he held himself back “I made dinner if you want some?” Grinning some he guided the other into the back where the kitchen was, showing him where the food was still hot and ready, one of the other passer-bys already digging in with head phones in “If you want some you are welcome to it”
As if on cue, Harvey's stomach growled, to remind him that he hadn't eaten anything proper all day and he grimaced involuntarily. “Yeah, I probably should. Thanks.” He muttered sheepishly as he glanced around. He felt weirdly out of place as he picked up a plate. “You’re really nice, Jonathan.”

“Sure. That’s cool.” Harvey nodded and shrugged lightly. He didn’t think much of it and tilted his head curiously at the other’s reaction. Then he looked down at the note with the address and glanced back at Jonathan with a polite smile as he fished his phone out of his pocket. “Right, I’m just gonna save that in here.” Harvey muttered as he typed the address into his smartphone.
“Ill see you there then” he says, rubbing at the back of his neck before he got up, nodding his goodbye. He felt like his awkwardness had kicked in so badly as it did sometimes. He would get a room ready for the other- maybe try to make sure he was able to watch outside plenty. Let him feel a little more free in life.

Harvey raised an eyebrow at him and then took a quick glance to the window. “Well if you’re telling me that I can leave my truck parked out on the street - then yeah. Sure. If it’s not far.” His voice trailed off as he studied Jonathan’s face a little closer, still wary of the man.
“You can if you want. I guess I didnt think about it” He rubbed at his face as he thought about it “sorry. I will just- meet you there” he blushed a little bit thinking about what an idiot he must have sounded like.
“Sure. That’s cool.” Harvey nodded and shrugged lightly. He didn’t think much of it and tilted his head curiously at the other’s reaction. Then he looked down at the note with the address and glanced back at Jonathan with a polite smile as he fished his phone out of his pocket. “Right, I’m just gonna save that in here.” Harvey muttered as he typed the address into his smartphone.

Harvey nodded, the smile already vanishing from his face though. “That’s a good idea. To be honest I’m used to taking on odd jobs whenever I need some cash for gas money. So I got some experience.” He told Jonathan before taking another sip from his coffee.
He hated seeing that smile leave and his own saddened some watching him before he nodded some “alright- well would you like me to walk you down there while its not to dark out just yet?”
Harvey raised an eyebrow at him and then took a quick glance to the window. “Well if you’re telling me that I can leave my truck parked out on the street - then yeah. Sure. If it’s not far.” His voice trailed off as he studied Jonathan’s face a little closer, still wary of the man.

Harvey’s eyes widened at Jonathan’s offer, his gaze flicking down to his hands before looking into his face again. He considered it for a moment, a little reluctant to accept charity. But then he realized that it was the perfect opportunity and took the key along with the note. “Thank you.” Harvey said, trying his best to flash the other a smile.
He smiled back, the motion warm and full of heart. “IF you feel like its… giving you to much or something you can always work at the cafe a little to feel better about things. But you dont have to. I am more then a little happy to open my doors to people who need it.”

Harvey genuinely had to smile when Jonathan admitted that he was into knitting. “Sounds nice, though.” He replied, looking down at his coffee. ‘I like to collect knives and rob people’ - He thought and narrowed his eyes slightly as he put the ice down so he would be able to drink the beverage. Harvey then shook his head. “No, I just arrived. Wanted to ask at the motel if they have a room available.” He replied, looking at Jonathan.
“Well- I have a few spare rooms above my cafe. Normally end up having drunk people crash there but if you wanna stay in one tell you are able to get to somewhere you feel better, your welcomed to it” reaching into his pocket he got out on of his spare keys and held it out along with a note that had the address on it “If you want”

“Mostly work honestly. I get antsy if I am still for to long. That or read or…well… I like to knit” he smiled sheepishly at that, knowing it was such an old person to do. ‘oh I also like to make a bunch of spells and healing herbs that I give to people as tea that they dont know they are drinking to get rid of their migraines and cramps and stuff OH and I run around in the moon light as a wolf’ yeah something tells him that wouldnt go over well with such an antsy kid. “Do you have a place to stay yet?” he asks, avoiding questions about the past.

Harvey looked to the booth and then back at the man before he took his coffee and walked over to it to sit down. He had no idea what the man’s intentions were, but he figured that he could still just bolt if things would get weird.
He took the ice from the other with a muttered ‘thank you’ and carefully pressed it against his face as he leaned back. When he felt it alleviate the pain Harvey sighed, closing his eyes for a brief moment before glancing at the other. “What’s your name?”
Seeing his face relax some Jonathan smiled, feeling a bit better himself before he leaned back with his own coffee, cradling the cup close to his chest for the warmth “Im Jonathan Fey.” he says, smiling at him warmly “I own the cafe down the road that most people who are here tell last call go to in the morning so I am here a lot.” He personally didnt drink much- he got goofy when drunk and the last time hed woken up butt naked in the woods having hunt down a deer. Still one of the worser mornings. “What about you?” he wondered if the kid was younger then him or just had one of those faces that made you think the person was a kid when they werent.

Harvey first eyed the man suspiciously and then looked at the cup in front of him. “Thank you.” He told him, with a polite nod. When the other mentioned the bruises he grimaced and forced out a laugh.
“Yeah, a door. Let’s go with that.” Harvey replied dryly, initially not wanting to talk about it. But then he looked back at the man and sighed. “No, some idiot couldn’t handle my critique on his parking skills. Things escalated.” He explained briefly with a slight shrug.
Ah the things escalated excuse. That should be fun to know that more then a few things like that have happened- since he seemed pretty used to it. “Ice?” he said to the bar tender with a charming smile before he looked back at the other man. “Come on, lets go over here” he motioned him into a corner booth and when he took the ice from the bar tender he let his magic brush over it before he held it up for the others face “Here you go.” his spell would at least take away the pain.
