I am just like any motivated and loving life woman, who loves her family, and job and has a passion of serving people.

As a result of my outstanding grades in my study and the excellent performance in my job, I have been a holder of different scholarship. I am also active participant in many research visits and scientific missions in many countries like Canada, Malaysia and Egypt. The last scholarship I have awarded was at McGill University in Canada. I returned back to Gaza a month ago before the beginning of the genocide in Gaza. 💔

Again, I am one of the 22 women from the developing world who have been awarded OWSD- PhD fellowship to pursue my PhD study abroad. it felt as though I was holding a golden ticket to a better life than anyone who is currently living in Gaza. But fate seemed to have another plan

In the past few weeks, countless Israeli officials—including Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu—have dehumanized Palestinians and called for genocide.

Meanwhile, they’ve bombed hospitals, refugee camps, schools, marketplaces, and countless homes inside Gaza, committing war crime after war crime after war crime.

In this time, instead of condemning the Israeli government for its genocidal words and actions, the US has backed Israel with its full force, from interfering with journalistic coverage of the atrocities Israel has committed, to sending weapons to kill Palestinian civilians.

This is unacceptable. Israel is making its intention to commit genocide very clear—and the US is cheering them on.

After the initial attacks from Hamas on October 7th, thousands of Palestinian labourers permitted to work in Israel unlawfully had their permits taken away, and were then held hostage, tortured and killed in Israeli detention facilities for 25 days.

They were denied food, water, all necessities and access to any legal representation. They endured some of the most horrific forms of torture and abuse, one man says that they were stripped naked and then urinated by children. One man was asked if he was thirsty and then had boiling water thrown on him. Israel did not allow any humanitarian aid to enter the facilities, so the abuse and torture was allowed to continue without intervention.

Hundreds were “released” by Israel and forced to walk 6km back to Gaza while it was actively being bombed and undergoing a ground invasion. The actual number of people held/released/killed is still unclear and the workers have said that they feel failed by the world.

What those labourers have undergone is the complete opposite to the testimonial of the hostage Hamas had released, who said she was treated fairly and received food, shelter and medical attention and was told that she would not be harmed.

To read those labourers stories and still call any of this Israel’s right to defend itself from Hamas is genuinely horrifying and truly ignorant.

I'm uh. Really struggling rn. Like more than usual.

I left my job last week because it was making me extremely su*cidal. I strongly considered going inpatient, too, but decided to see if the change would help. It has, to an extent, but now I have no source of income. My body can't handle a full time (or honestly even part time) job right now and I desperately need a mobility scooter or powerchair, as I am mostly bed and housebound. My family is abusive and does not support me, and I don't even have any IRL friends to turn to. My room is such a mess that you can barely see the floor underneath all the trash and my house has a severe bedbug infestation.

It's really rough. I'm considering going into assisted living but I have no idea how to do that with very little documentation as to the severity of my disability. Even applying for disability aid is something I'm unsure that I am capable of so I am stuck.

I have November rent paid, but I don't have any savings for December. What little I do have is being put towards saving for a mobility scooter so I can at least kind of enjoy life again. It's just a lot. I need help. It feels like I'm drowning.

I can't ask for y'all to totally fix the situation for me. But it would really help if I could at least have a better quality of life. My birthday is in 8 days (November 8th). I am asking for some help raising money for someone to help me clean my room, getting my hair bleached so I can dye it purple again, and a mobility scooter.

Anything helps at this point. I will update this post with the total goal amount tomorrow after some phone calls in the reblogs. Thank you. 💜

So, i am seriously hurting for funds. Our phone bill is almost 4 days late because we have been trying to raise the $110 we need for it with no success. Additionally, i am getting sicker by the day and need to rely on ordering takeout to eat since i can barely stand these days, much less cook.
