Fat Greedy Hogs Deserve to be Manipulated and Controlled đ đ
That moment when you realize it's over... your hands are in the air and the officer is on his way with the cold steel cuffs. Pretty soon you will be stuffed in the back of the patrol car and taken down to the county jail, where you will turn in that big belt buckle, jeans, and expensive cowboy boots for a dirty orange jumpsuit and cute mugshot that your friends will share all over town
Ashes Of Vengeance
Part One
Chapter 1 â Aaron
Chicago was a graveyard of rust and concrete, and Aaron Hughes moved through it like a ghost.
He kept his hood up, head down, boots crunching against broken glass and cold asphalt. The South Side was quieter nowâquieter than it should be. That meant something was wrong. Chicago never slept. Not really. But tonight, it held its breath like the city knew something was coming.
Aaron knew that feeling well. It crawled in his spine, a cocktail of fear and instinct sharpened by eleven years of meth and pain. He hadnât used in four days. The ache behind his eyes felt like a knife twisting deeper every hour. But he needed to be sharp. Bishop was making moves again. He could feel it.
He ducked into the alley behind a boarded-up liquor store, pistol tight in his palm. He hadnât slept, but his senses were razor-edged. That was the tradeoff. Restless nights for a faster trigger finger. And lately, he needed both.
Bishop had taken everything once. His sobriety. His future. His humanity. And now, Aaron could feel him circling again, like a vulture waiting for the last tremble before the kill. But Aaron wasnât the same man anymore. He wasnât a broken junkie in an alley praying to stay invisible. He was fire now. Fire and ghosts.
A metal clatter echoed across the alley.
Aaron froze, shoulder pressed to the brick wall, breath tight. A figure stepped out of the darknessâa runner, lean and fast. Not a threat. Not yet.
âAaron,â the runner gasped. âItâs Leon. He found something. You need to see this.â
Aaron didnât ask questions. He just moved. He didnât trust anyoneânot reallyâbut Leon had been there when the world fell apart. And if Leon said it was important, it meant blood was coming.
The game had begun again. And this time, Aaron wasnât playing defense.
He was coming for the king.

Chapter 2 â Matt
Matt woke up with his cheek pressed against cold tile, the taste of blood thick in his mouth.
He didnât remember falling. Didnât remember the crash of his body against the bathroom sink. Just the rage. The shaking hands. The glass pipe slipping from his fingers.
The motel room stank of rot and stale smoke. The flickering neon outside painted the cracked ceiling in pulses of red. Somewhere outside, a siren wailed, swallowed by the endless groan of the city.
Matt rolled onto his back, groaning. His ribs ached. Old bruises blooming again. His hand fumbled for the bag that wasnât there. Gone. All of it.
He stared at the ceiling. Bishopâs name floated there like a curse.
He hated how much of himself still wanted to believe the lieâthat Bishop had once saved him. That maybe Bishop saw potential in him. But Matt knew better now. Bishop didnât save anyone. He used them. Hollowed them out and filled the cracks with dependency.
And Matt had swallowed every promise like poison.
He sat up slowly, reaching for the knife he kept under the mattress. The edge was dull, but it was familiar. Grounding.
Leon had called last night, his voice sharp, urgent. Something about a message. A threat.
Matt stood, body shaking, and reached for his jacket. He stared at himself in the cracked mirror. Pale. Sunken eyes. Tracks fading but not forgotten. He wasnât a survivor. Not yet.
But he could still be a fighter.
And Bishop had forgotten one thing:
He left Matt breathing.
That was his mistake.

Chapter 3 â Leon
Leon didnât believe in redemption. Not anymore.
He crouched in the shattered remains of an abandoned arcade, the smell of mold and old electronics thick in the air. The glow from his phone barely lit the blueprints in his lapâschematics for one of Bishopâs safehouses on 53rd. He memorized them with cold precision.
His Glock rested on his thigh, finger loose on the frame, ready.
There were no more second chances. No last-minute miracles. Just bullets and blood and men like Bishop who needed to be ended.
Leon had once worked for the man. Young, angry, fearlessâexactly the kind of weapon Bishop loved to wield. And when Leon had finally seen the truth and turned on him, Bishop sent monsters to carve reminders into his skin. The scars on his back still itched in the cold.
He glanced at the burner phone. One missed call from Aaron. Good. It meant he got the message.
Inside his jacket was a small black box. Inside the box? A chess king. One of Bishopâs signatures.
A declaration.
Leonâs jaw tightened. He knew what that meant.
Bishop was calling Aaron out. This wasnât a game anymoreâit was war. Psychological. Personal. And Bishop wanted them to dance until they tore themselves apart.
He stood, pocketed the phone, holstered the gun.
âIâm done dancing,â Leon muttered.
He stepped out into the night, Chicagoâs wind howling like a warning.
The reckoning was comingâand Leon was bringing the fire.

Chapter 4 â Bishop
Bishop watched the city from the rooftop of a shuttered hotel, wind raking across his suit. Below, Chicago flickered in dying streetlights and distant sirensâa chessboard soaked in grime.
He liked the view from up here. It gave him perspective.
In his hand, he turned a single piece over and over between his fingers: a white king.
âTheyâre moving,â Sienna said behind him. Her voice was calm, like it always was. Efficient. Unafraid.
âI know,â Bishop said. âLeonâs already passed the message. Aaronâs awake. And Matt⊠poor Matt.â
He smiled.
âYou think theyâll come at you all at once?â Sienna asked.
âTheyâll have no choice. Theyâre connectedâpain does that to people. Trauma. It makes them loyal to the wrong things. Each other. Their guilt.â
Sienna shifted beside him, brushing ash from her coat.
âYou couldâve killed Matt,â she said. âInstead, you let him crawl back broken.â
Bishopâs eyes gleamed. âI donât need them dead, Sienna. Not yet. I need them shattered. I want Aaron doubting himself. Matt thinking heâs already lost. And Leon? I want him angry. Angry men make mistakes.â
âAnd when they stop making mistakes?â
Bishop turned.
âThen I burn them,â he said.
He held up the white king and let it fall.
It tumbled from the rooftop, lost in the dark.
Just like the rest of them soon would be.

Chapter 5 â Sienna
Sienna stood at the edge of the balcony, the cold wind biting into her skin, but she didnât feel it. She was numb. Numb to the pain, the fear, and the beauty of it all. Bishop had made her like thisâlike a machine that could take orders, follow through, and leave nothing but destruction in her wake.
Her eyes traced the skyline. She was always watching, always waiting, calculating. Thatâs how she got the jobâhow she stayed alive. Bishop had given her everything she had now. She owed him that.
And yetâŠ
There was a part of her that didnât feel anything for him. A part that wanted to destroy him just as much as she helped him destroy others. But that part was buried deep, a shadow sheâd learned to silence.
She heard the sound of footsteps behind her. Without turning, she knew it was Bishop. Always. He was always there, like a dark cloud that followed her wherever she went.
âYouâve been quiet, Sienna,â he said, his voice smooth like honey, but laced with an edge. âAre you feeling something?â
She didnât flinch. âIâm fine,â she replied, her voice cool, detached. She was always careful around him. He was the kind of man who took everything. Even the pieces of you that you didnât want him to.
Bishop didnât respond right away. Instead, he moved closer, standing just behind her, his presence heavy and oppressive. She could feel the weight of his gaze even without turning.
âI know youâre not fine,â he said. âDonât lie to me.â
Sienna gritted her teeth, forcing herself to remain still. She didnât want to give him an inch. Not now. Not ever.
But Bishop was right. She wasnât fine.
She wasnât sure what was happening, but for the first time in a long time, she felt a crack in her armor. A flicker of doubt. A hesitation.
She glanced at him briefly, and in that moment, she saw the monster beneath the mask. He wasnât just controlling herâhe was feeding off of her, using her to complete his sick game. And the worst part was that she let him.
She looked away, eyes locked on the city. It was a warzone down there. A warzone that would never stop as long as Bishop was in control.
And for now, she had to play her part.
For now.
