I finally found it!
Going to start a 90 day "challenge". Basically something active every day and track my food. Hopefully we'll see some results
I want to prioritize my health in 2026.
Last year I was diagnosed with diabetes and hypertension. I've always been a "healthy fat" so it's been hard to accept. It doesn't take to much neglect to totally fuck up your body.
I'm going to restart up this blog as a way to track my progress.
January 1st, 2026 - 270 lbs
Left my water bottle in the car overnight :(
Got the world's loudest treadmill at the gym today. Only ran for 5 minutes because I was so embarrassed by the noise

Goals are pretty achievable. Only like, 8500 for an active day

We're doing 10% over 6 months. So I need to lose 27 lbs by July. Probably doable, but can't help but remember that I GAINED 30lbs last winter and there's still plenty winter remaining this year
Everyone at the gym can probably tell these shoes have never been used before
Maybe I'll start using this side blog again. I gained a lot of weight and I just signed up for a DietBet so I'll need something to keep me on track

Ack, I haven't done a Fitember post since the 10th. I basically was having a pretty bad mental health day Friday, weekend was FINE and then another bad-brained two days in a row. I didn't get my steps yesterday, but I'm feeling better today and have already gone for a long walk and a short run l. Run would have been longer, but it started raining
I found my "before" pictures from when I first started my strength camps and lifting weights almost a year ago. And honestly? I don't see much of a difference. I'll most a side-by-side next month when I hit the actual anniversary, certainly thought after a year I'd be all lean and buff haha
I love how when I mow the lawn, FitBit seems to thinking I'm working out
Also, I think the lawnmower broke? I got the front yard and the side yard, but it stopped working when I went out back. I'm going to try again tomorrow...
Fitember 10th!
Late post for yesterday. I'm like, 80% sure I forgot to take my meds yesterday, because I was SO TIRED and couldn't stop eating. I stopped tracking my calories when things were going bad. Trying to decide if I technically worked out that day? I was up pretty early and did get almost 40 minutes on that stepper:
But I didn't get my steps for the day. My wife took care of the dog so I didn't feel obligated to go out for as many walks as I usually would
