Her expression is pensive as she sits with her cheek on the back of her hand, her elbow on her knee. She holds out a shining red and gold fruit in her other hand casually. The mermaid is mostly submerged in the pool of water with only her dark-skinned upper chest, head, and neck visible, with the finned part of her tail coming up out of the water behind her. i just want to say thank you for adding the ID and thank you to everyone who does this, it is so helpful to me as an artist because by the time i get to posting an image i am usually too exhausted to do this sort of thing. and maybe this is just a me thing, but i also feel immensely awkward trying to describe my own work because everything i want to say about an image is usually in the image itself and i don’t know how to verbalize what i’ve drawn. so i really appreciate every time i see one of these.

and i want you all to know, also, that it is totally fine for you to interpret something differently than i intended (since i saw that mentioned as a concern). as long as you’re not being nasty about it (i.e. erasing queerness out of an image, etc.) then there is no need to worry about preserving the “integrity” of my intentions or anything like that haha 🧡
