wait what happened with jimin????
I’m going to summarize everything for the sake of making everything clear
(tw for self-harm and bullying)
a lot of people are wondering why Mina is speaking up now. Mina has been suffering for a couple days because a dermatology brand completely messed up her skin, making her unable to work. this just fuelled her depression and anxiety, which is probably the reason why she decided to let it all out
on her post, she showed a dm that swore at her and told her to “get lost” and from that, she made her post opening up about her depression and what allegedly went down during her time in AOA
when AOA were promoting Like A Cat, Mina received the news that her father was in his last stages of cancer
because of her father’s stage, she was struggling during promotions. one time on the waiting room she started crying. that’s when Jimin put her aside and told her to “stop crying” because she was “bringing the mood down” and “everybody has to walk on tiptoes around you”
Mina was already struggling with depression and anxiety back then, and after Jimin told her that, she became incredibly scared of getting scolded again. as she said “to you, it might just have been words that you spat out without much thought, but to me it was really hurtful”
because of this, even when her family was in the hospital for weeks with her dad, she was so scared and worried about messing the promotions that she didn’t even take a break and didn’t go see him
she found out that her dad even wrote “where is my daughter” on a sketchbook to the nurses, which just made her feel worse (seriously fuck FNC and fuck Jimin)
she didn’t want to leave AOA and really loved promoting and acting, but in the end she couldn’t bear it anymore and left
after this, Jimin posted a story that just said “fiction” before deleting it right away
then Mina made a post that showed her self-harm scars that has been receiving treatment for. she said that she heard that when Jimin’s father was going to pass away, she halted all promotions and was able to go visit him as much as she wanted.
Mina went to Jimin’s father’s funeral, where Jimin said “sorry” while crying, and even if she felt a little better, it would never be enough
then Mina actually confronted Jimin about what she said back then, but Jimin just glared at her and said “I don’t think I’d be such a bitch to say something like that” but another member stepped up for Mina and reminded Jimin that she did indeed say that
she ended saying that her and the rest of the AOA members went to drink before she left the group, without Jimin, and they would talk about it. none of them knew why Jimin hated her so much
to this day Mina is still in contact with the rest of the members except Jimin
