Hello! My name is samtimes, an avid Yume 2kki player. I created this blog so people had a place to go after every patch or update and see more in-depth pictures and routes to the new worlds or events newly introduced!
(Make sure to recheck some posts, as some worlds might get proper names or new events might be discovered after a while...!)
What type of things do I post?
Update posts
Divided in proper updates (0.120c, 0.120d, etc.) and patches (0.120c patch 6, 0.120d patch 4, etc.), these posts serve as a mere listing of new features and bug fixes without going into much detail. The tags used are #2kki update and #2kki patch.
Exploration posts
In these posts, I go into more detail about the new worlds and changes that may have been added to the latest update or patch. I try my best to document everything I find, so make sure to check them out if you want to know exactly what’s in store! They’re tagged with #2kki exploration.
Asks, general posts
Be it answer an ask that’s been sent to me (tagged with #2kki answers) or just me talking about anything else apart from what’s already mentioned (#st speaks), both of these types of posts are tagged with #not an update for ease of blocking and filtering.
I hope to keep this up for a long while. If you have any questions, be it about updates or just 2kki in general, feel free to ask me!
Well, so it seems there's a bug that makes some people unable to see the new worlds in Patch 7 (YNO). Seems like I'll either have to try and do it offline or fix this somehow. Sorry for taking so long with these patches!

Hi! Even though 0.120d Patch 6 was released two days ago, I'm waiting for it to be added to YNO Project before I talk about it. Sorry for the wait and thank you for your understanding!
Well, Takikomi had fun with these worlds! The kind-of-mirrored nature of these new worlds is great, even if i might have some trouble getting there due to Lamplit Factory’s chasers. Well, without any more fanfare! Once more unto the new worlds!
As always, all names in brackets are placeholder names I’ve come up with in order to more easily differentiate these worlds!
(Broken Shell Scenery)
Accessed after seeing the event in the last room of Lamplit Factory.
This world is a linear path that presents a background mainly comprised of vaguely mountain-shaped scribbles. As you follow along the path, you will find a little clover on the ground blocking your way.
You have now two options: you can either chainsaw the shamrock, which will tinge the screen red and take you to (Hell)...
...or you can simply bypass it using the fairy effect.
This allows you to continue on the path, with the background slowly shifting to a gradient and then to full blue, when it starts raining.
At the very end is a small octopus that will take you to (Cold Shoal) when interacted with.
(Hell)
Accessed from either chainsawing the clover in (Broken Shell Scenery) or the ladder in (Fiery Cave).
The first time I went through this slew of new maps, I took the Chainsaw route because.... I didn’t know better. So in this post we’ll also be following that path! You appear laying down, and as you stand up you’ll see black figures being burnt to a crisp all around you. Investigating a bit through this small world, you may encounter a cauldron with a line of charred people in front of it.
There is a small cave entrance somewhere in the map, with a sign next to the door.
Inside, a black bear is fishing in a pool of boiling liquid. Will he ever catch anything?
Keep in mind the blocked-off exit for later! Anyways, somewhat southeast(?) of this cave is a cone-house not unlike Poniko’s house in the original Yume Nikki.
Entering it will lead you to the (Fiery Caves).
(Fiery Caves)
Accessed through either the cone house in (Hell) or the northern ladder in (Rainy Shoal Maze).
Not much to say about this area seeing as it’s a straight-forward path with little else to see! Just a reddish-brown colored cave. South of this entrance, at the very end, is another ladder leading to (Rainy Shoal Maze).
(Rainy Shoal Maze)
Accessed through the ladders in (Fiery Caves) and (Frigid Caves).
A world with a calm bgm and constant rain. The only thing of note, apart from the ladders, is a rabbit NPC that vanishes when touched.
The path to get to the (Frigid Caves) exit is, from the (Fiery Caves) entrance: left at the first intersection, then take the bottom right path, then take the bottom right path that branches off into two. You can see the ladder from here!
This ladder takes you to (Frigid Caves).
(Frigid Caves)
Accessed from the ladders in either (Cold Shoal) or (Rainy Shoal Maze).
As with (Fiery Caves), this straight-forward path has nothing of interest. The northern ladder takes you to (Cold Shoal).
(Cold Shoal)
Accessed through either the red octopus in (Broken Shell Scenery) or the upper ladder in (Frigid Caves).
If you have entered from the red octopus, you will appear instead here:
This world is a tranquil world populated by red octopi akin to the one used to get here from (Broken Shell Scenery) and fish people, set in direct opposition to (Hell).
Going slightly southwest from the ladder and slightly east from the octopus, you’ll find a cave identical to the one in (Hell) that housed a black bear.
This time, it sseems to be the dwellings of a polar bear. It can be found fishing, but if you leave the world and re-enter, there’s a chance it’s sleeping instead.
If this is the case, you can use the fishing rod to fish out a rather angry red fish person that will... slap you? Rude!
Exiting the room and interacting with them will net you Menu Theme #56. A decent apology gift, I suppose!
Going back to the polar bear cave, you’ll notice the cone blockign the entrance is now gone (if not, just reenter the world... or visit the bear cave in (Hell) if you haven’t already). It leads you to a small room with a purple cone in it.
Interacting with it will take you to a similar room, but brown instead of blue.
This room leads to, you guessed it, the black bear cave in (Hell)! A neat shortcut! The cone may reappear, but just reenter the room to make it vanish again.
And that’s all Takikomi added, I think! I probably missed some things, but they’re neat worlds. I love the two bears, and the octopi are so cute... Well, these are the new worlds 0.120d patch 4 had to offer! Patch 5 didn’t add anything neew, just fixed some bugs in these new worlds, and we got a new menu theme out of it! A nice little extra!
Switched the entry point from Intestines Maze in Floating Tile Islands.
Blue Sanctuary: lowered the spinning speed of the spinning bunny, pink bunnies are able to be chainsawed while peaceful.
Garden World: Added a hole in Daytime where the entrance to Blue Santuary is is at Nighttime.
Party Playground: Lowered the fence just a bit.
BUG FIXES
Blue Sanctuary: The screen now always darkens after touching the black thing.
Party Playground: Tile collision.
(Cold Shoal): Error no longer pops up when interacting with fish people.
(Rainy Shoal Maze): Tile collision.
OTHER
Added Menu Theme #56, available in (Cold Shoal).
Added tracks 017C,179G, 208E, 223B, 279B, 313F, 368C, 492B, 544B, 614 and 615 to the Sound Room, changed the unlock condition for track 060C and changed the background picture for tracks 167C, 190C, 267G, 326F, 470C, and 530B.
These patches have been extremely confusing to me, because I just don’t understand most changes they made to effects or events. Therefore, I will refer to the wiki for everything except the single new map added.
They did improve performance, though!

MAP CHANGES
Added a new sub-area to Red Streetlight World, the Eldritch Streetlight (screenshot taken in 2kki Online).
Ok I'm gonna be honest I don't understand much of what's going on with the last two patches and it hurts my brain a bit but I will try my best to put them in a post or two once I find out what patch 3 did and what patch 2 even means TT
No information anywhere, no routes, no maps. All I had was determination and a need to know what was new. That being said, with the new 0.120d update came a host of new worlds to explore!
As always, all names in brackets are placeholder names I’ve come up with in order to more easily differentiate these worlds!
(Blob Tower)
Accessed through the twisted streetlights near the Monochrome Street Entrance.
A very simplistic world! First thing you see when you enter is a locked door. To get through it, you must get to the bottom of this tower.
Going down the floors, you might notice sheets of paper lying around. These seem to be drawings of strange creatures.
After seeing the last one in the bottom floor and exiting the room, you will notice soemone killed the NPC that was previously standing there.
If you follow the bloodstains, you’ll have to survive a chase through all the floors with new obstacles and a static-blob chaser. (I don’t have any pictures because i was kinda busy running for my life...). Once you reach the last door, you will be treated to a little cutscene showing that you now have a green key.
The door that the key opens has... nothing! It’s a bit underwhelming, but perhaps we’ll see new connections added in future updates!
(Pastel Shoal)
Accessed through the door to the left in the second-floor of the Spaceship.
A very cute and calming world! The blue and pink hues are very soft and sweet. Some NPCs are seen milling around, more notably three humans: Surf Bro, Green-haired Girl and Brown-haired Girl.
There are also three cones leading to the water that imply this might be a future connection. Near the upper side of the world is another connection, this time fully functional: it’s a golden fence with a gap in the middle. This leads to (Pastel Heaven).
(Pastel Heaven)
Accessed through the gate in (Pastel Shoal). Also thorugh Fantasy Island (Method unknown).
A small, looping world with pretty pink clouds and carpets. Some angelic NPCs similar to those in Fantasy Island are milling around, together with a poodle and a squirrel (both winged). Cute!
(Waterlogged Bridges)
Accessed through the upper left corner of Tesla Garden (Industrial Waterfront).
Short world that begins with a wooden bridge. Crossing it, you will first see a blue NPC behind a dumpster.
Bringing out the Chainsaw, however, seems to convince her to leave, showing she was hiding behind that dumpster because of her injuries and deformities.
Going forward, a small traditional house and a child appear.
If you equip the Grave effect, the child seems to have a bit of a neck problem.
If you enter the house, six futons lie on the floor, five of which are occupied. You can sleep in the empty one! you can also chainsaw the other five and sleep to see their spirits glaring at you in your sleep.
Going further right from here will bring you to a small dock and a boat.
Following the path, which is littered with white ghostly figures coming out of the water, you’ll reach a broken grate.
(Hydroelectric Power Plant)
Accessed through the broken grate in (Waterlogged Bridges).
Once you enter this area, you’ll have to keep going in the boat for a while in a sewer-like section until you reack a dock and a doorway. This will take you to a section with flickering lights.
Not much is interesting in this part, since it ends up being a mostly straight path, except perhaps the vending machine.
Eventually you’ll reach a lit doorway.
Going through here will take you to the Power Plant per se.
Going up the ladder and through the door, you’ll end up in a small workshop zone with very cozy lighting!
If you go down, however, yo’ull see a fenced-off exit and an enormous turbine (which you can interact with to see fully).
(The Mall)
Accessed through the right exit in Flo’s Shop in Graffiti City.
A sprawling mall with a variety of shops and food stalls! Apart from the shops where you can’t interact with anything, there are a few points of interest. First of all, there’s an octopus hairdresser!!
There’s also a sales clerk that will chaneg appearances depending on which effect you have equipped! They do so with almost all effects with varying results, so here are a few examples:
There is an arcade (or gambling area, however you want to see it) where a girl occupies one of the machines. Two cones block off an exit, marking a possible future connection.
This place is great for getting difficult-to-get food items like pizza (previously only available in Virtual City) or Takoyaki!! Make sure to check out all the food vendors!
Neon Suburbs
Accessible through a rainbow warp in Monochrome School.
A vast, looping area filled with flashing neon colors and creatures! You can walk on the “tree leaves”. Only two things of note in this area: first of all, there’s a warp blocked off by a cone, so maybe we’ll see more of this area in the future.
And lastly, there’s a warp identical to the entrance somewhere else in the map.
Going through this door will take you to a rave party, with many creatures dancing to their hearts’ content! You can drink the punch, and if you interact with the giant npc sitting in the sofa it’ll switch the music!
As a side note, try using the Marginal effect in here. It’s... curious!
Marble Ruins
Accessible through the backstage in the theatre in Snowy Village.
An extremely pretty world to me personally, this pristine and elegant place is vast and a bit maze-like. By roaming around, you can find a fossil, a mural and a gold-and-blue clock you can admire.
There are other things scattered around, like a tiny garden, but if you explore enough eventually you’ll come across a small exit. Going through it will lead you to a path over the water where shadow fish swim in the foreground, and afrter that you’ll find a statue of a praying figure with four arms.
Going further from here, there’s a strange device in the winding path after this section.
Once you reach the end, there is a staircase adorned with stained galss windows. As you go up, however, these windows become more and more deteriorated...
At the top is a doorway that takes you to a beutiful starry night sky and some cones that mark a future connection.
The music is also extremely pretty and calm! The perfect ending to this journey through the 0.120d worlds. They were many and very extensive, but overall I really liked them!! My personal favorite was Marble Palace, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for them!

OTHER
Added tracks 226C, 241D, 281F, 284F, 297G, 318D, 369B, 384C, 398G, 438C, 491D, 561B, 610, 611, 612, and 613 to the Sound Room.
The Moai Bro and the Hina Doll are the funniest to me, but favorite overall... The operator cyborg in Rusty Urban Complex! For some reason her event strikes me as one of the saddest in the entire game, and the music that accompanies it is beautifully tragic in its simplicity.
