DOUBLE KILL SUMMER STATION CONCERT 2017

On August the 10th, Double Kill Records hosted their very first concert. With the lineup containing most of their groups and artists as well as new and refreshing units to bring the summer vibe back, 2K Records showed what they are made of with the free open air concert! The label proved their artists’ talent with the refreshing performances. Opening the concert with a small MC segment introducing the lineup for the day MC-ed by Trainee Matthew & Creep’s Soo, the concert starts off with a solo performance from 2K’s male soloist ‘J.HA’ and a performance of the new sub-unit ‘Sirens’. Following the performances, another segment introduces an interview with Double Kill’s CEO ‘Kwon Byungjo’ hosted by Unplugged’s Chandler & Trainee Matthew. A short conversation is held about the origin of the label as well as some explanation on the debuts of each group and artist under the label. The next lineup contains the two of the known duo’s under 2K, followed with yet another introduction segment on the lineup to follow after, MC-ed by Mellow’s Sophie & Trainee Oliver with ‘Creep, Lux and Mellow’. The next segment once again introducing and talking some about the following lineup ‘Unplugged and Lucid’, hosted by MC’s Soloist Taehyun & Creep’s Koemi. After the performances of those said groups, another of the Sub-units specifically created for the Summer Station concert are introduced before they finally step on stage and perform the new songs. Following a performance of Trainee ‘Oliver’ hosted by Lotus’ Nami & Willow. The concert ends at 5:30 PM with a last performance by all artists under 2K Records.

DOUBLE KILL IS NOW MOSTLY TWITTER BASED

Yes! You’ve read it right. We’ve noticed along the last few weeks that members have been struggling more and more to keep their Tumblr accounts active and therefor have been forced to be removed many times despite their high interest in the group. With most of the Tumblr crowd moving to Twitter there is are more Twitter based muses that are also looking for a home but unable to keep up with a Tumblr account and therefor we have changed it up! Continue reading for more information!

First of all, do not worry! We will still be supporting our muses that are also Tumblr based. We will continue to send out weekly prompts and headcanons into your Inbox (make sure to have your anonymous option opened) and we will still post monthly events for those who still prioritize Tumblr. For those members nothing will change. Though we will not be posting the welcome posts of all our solely Twitter based muses and will simply post the Tumblr based muses on Tumblr! If you want to Follow all our new members, those of both Twitter and Tumblr we refer you to our Twitter page where we will welcome all the muses!

Another anon, if the muse goes inactive, specially for indef or longer period of time, shouldnt you give other people opportunities to have a chance to enter?

If a muse goes inactive, they will be removed during the activity check. If really interested in their spot, you’re allowed to message us and let us know that you have your eyes set on a spot that’s held by an inactive muse! In case you were referring to what the last person messaged us, sometimes our group members prefer to decrease the amount of members in a group not due to reasons of inactivity of members or lack of members, but because they feel like there’s a great chemistry between the current members and they feel more comfortable keeping the group as it is! This is the reason we have decided to add the rule, although we create the group concepts and such, the members of the group are the ones that make the group so we felt that it’s only fair to give the members a say of what they want for the group (of course if all members agree only).

We have various groups that are looking for members, and from this point on we will be accepting group applications again (see the post after this reply) so there will be even more options for people to find a place they like so there should be enough opportunities for members to enter the company. The members as a group have decided to close the spot / isnt it a bit biased? I havent seen you do this to other groups before.

There have been plenty of other groups who have decided on this! Lux was originally NEON, but the members decided to change the amount of members from 6 to 4 and they requested a name change, hence they are now LUX. Flytrap was originally 4 members but they added an additional spot. Creep originally had 6 members. Previously we had Jelly Beans who decreased the amount of members from 5/6 to 3 in the end! This happened quite a few times with our other groups but as of lately none have requested this hence it hasn’t happened. If you’re interested in Mellow nonetheless, try messaging one of the members of the group to see if they wish to accept a new member anyway!

Isnt it unfair that june hogs her spot in mellow after letting her account go? Shouldnt the spot be open to others?

The members as a group have decided to close the spot, we state in our guidelines that if all members agree to decease or increase the amount of members in a group, that this is allowed. Since the group Mellow has decided to keep the group as four members following June’s departure, we accepted that request.

SUMMER STATION EVENT... LAST DAYS

We are nearing the last few days before the Summer Station concert and are still awaiting on applications for the said day by a lot of groups and some of our other members. Summer Station Concert is an open concert given by 2K Records in which all of our artists and trainees will be involved. Each group/soloist will get to perform a song whether it be one of their own, a special stage or a cover. For this we wish to receive your group or muse’s information on what they will be performing before the 10th of August! Down below you will find a list of applications we are still awaiting, it is not required so if you do not send us anything before the 10th, your muse / group will not be included! *You are allowed to perform as group even if your group isn’t complete, it can be a “unit” or it can be plotted as though the group is complete, discuss this with your members.
