In middle school I had a teacher that told me the arts should just be considered personal hobbies. That they had no real place in the world of professions and careers. I almost stopped playing my saxophone after that. When I first started to realize that I liked to take pictures, her words were lingering in the back of my mind. For a long time, I only took pictures for memories. Things to look back on when I wanted to reminisce. Then slowly over the years, "I like to take pictures" turned into "I'm in to photography", and then finally into " I am a photographer". Yes, 12 years later, saxophone and camera still in hand. Don't let people who don't understand your passion for the arts or anything for that matter, stop you from doing you. *end hopefully encouraging rant👍🏾*. Also, check out my Instagram for the dope shots that are coming this summer and forever 😁 (at Orlando, Florida)
